Walsall top over the last 14 games.

Yeovil lost tonight.

3 points behind Tranmere in 6th
4 behind Bournemouth in 5th

Equal games.

All to play for

21 points available 7 points off autos.

If you fancy a thread not about all the off field Shyte.

Think good old ACL may bring the form book crashing down.

I still think we can do it, scoring will be the problem.

Unfortunately the off the field stuff influences the on the field stuff if points deductions are forthcoming.

The two are inseparable.

It will be catastrophic if the club fail to make the play offs purely for the points reduction. It would be the only top 6 finish in 40 years and easily the best chance of getting out of the league.

Just felt like a thread not about it.

The other 15 are there for that

Who would have thought we would be 3 points behind Tranmere 4 months ago?

If we are deducted fifteen points this season, we could well be in a relegation battle if we are not careful.

It makes our poor home form all the more frustrating.

Me, I didn't think they'd make the top 6, but overstated CCFC and Bournemouth a 'bit'.

If we were at full strength I would feel a bit more confident, as the squad is now I feel we will fall short. We have a tough run in

The problem will be scoring with Clarke out. Will it scupper our chances? McDonald may step up to the plate and surprise us all and we need more goals from midfield and the odd defender like we were getting before and has since dried up a bit tbf. I think it is a major problem but in this league not insurmountable with the squad we have. Baker is on some 14 goals this season too? can Bell return at this level and provide equal ratio?
This is where a coach will earn his money and his reputation and Pressley will need to make something happen or I fear he won't last long.
Of course it yet all be academic...

Not going to be easy with recent injuries to key goal scorers or the admin issue.

We can forget about catching SU and Swindon and Doncaster.

We have a just a slight chance with Brentford who have a tricky run in. They may be on 74 going into final home game v Doncaster.

Bournemouth have an easy run in so not likely to pass them

Tranmere I expect will be on 70 or 71 going into final game v Bournemouth

Yeovil have a fairly easy run in. I give them 75 going into final away match against Bury last game.

We dont have to concern ourselves with Walsall, Leyton Orient and Notts County if we acheive the form to chase down the current top 7 teams.

For us to have a decent chance of 6th, we need 75 points. That 5 wins out of 7 or 4 wins and 3 draws. So pretty difficult.

I have to say I'd rather get in the play-offs and take the hit next season. If we don't get up through the playoffs we're no worse off and our start this season was rubbish. If we do go up and take the hit next season then at least we'll be in a higher league with more revenue.

Taking a deduction this season would be heartbreaking.
