Hey SW, I've literally just bought the 43" version of this on Amazon for £299, though now I can only find it for £310, sorry...

I don't really know a great deal about TVs, and this is last year's model, but I can connect it to my hub via an RJ45 lead and get stuff like Netflix, Youtube and even browse the internet directly (though the latter is a bit clunky), and there's a HDMI and a SCART connection too. Setting up was a bit of faff mind, it seemed to take a while to understand that I wanted to connect via HDMI for the TV (via the hub), but in terms of picture and sound it's certainly good enough for me. Very nice for watching the cricket highlights, for example.

The reason we didn't go for the 49 inch version is simply that it's massive - it would dominate the entire room. Others, of course, might prefer that.

Again though, this isn't my area of expertise, and I'll bet there's someone here who will know a ton more about this than me. But at the price, it seems like a good deal, and our last Toshiba TV is still going strong after almost two decades!

You understand none of those programmes are produced in 4K so they'll be paying for a feature they will never use?

I have always found that quality manufacturers w8n c9mpared to the cheaper cousins when talking around TVs (most technology to be fair). The picture quality and sound are usually far superior to the cheaper makes and prices really coming down.

Anyone got any advice around larger TV screens and how compatible they are with Xbox one games?

I bought an LG couple of years back which is 50inches and games like FIFA suffer terrible input lag, even when you change the settings so that it's in game mode and alter the input settings. Other games work fine, just FIFA.
