hadn't realised how many decent stature teams are in this league. the overall standard of football in the league system seems fairly high to me, or atleast it seems teams are less stable than they once were

If we finish in 9th place, it would be a vast improvement on last season - which is realistically all we can hope for.

I'd settle for finishing right behind Wigan.

Might have Wigan in play offs instead of Scunny. Also, don't see why Peterborough are so low. As for us, then 9th would be some achievement

Can't see Bradford finishing second or indeed any higher than last season.

You think TM would see it that way?

I think TM would take top-10 this season all considering.

It's not the end of the transfer window yet so how can they possibly judge?

Don't think Barnsley will be that high
Scunthorpe have spent a lot money and brough in a lot of players and IMO I think they have set themselves up for failure.
Bradford are not going to be automatic play offs at best.
Wigan I would think will be higher up the league than 8th
Don't think Blackpool will finish dead last they aren't that bad.

Tbh I don't really like the look of most the table. I would take it, but it's a stupid prediction at this time.

I'd say 9'th is a pretty fair guess. I'd take that as well.

I won't be happy unless we get promoted.
Realistically it's about right ..... but I won't be happy

I'd be happy with top 10, Mowbray has said this is probably a two year project. It would show progress in 3 depressing seasons in this league. We can aspire for promotion this league but I don't think we should expect it, if you are, I'd prepare yourself for disappointment, especially after Jans feedback from the SCG. And not expecting promotion is not "settling for mediocrity" because what we all want is to see progress and moving forward. I can see the "TM Out" shouts starting if we're not top 6 by November.

Given that we start the league on day one in 8th behind Barnsley, Blackpool, Bradford, Burton, Bury etc etc - maybe we shouldnt be happy!!

A top 10 finish would show considerable improvement. The teams they put above us all seem decent to me. So content rather than happy with 9th

Come on let's be honest now we all want a top six finish at least and anything below that and the majority of us will be pissed off !

Can't see Scummy, Gillingham and Wiggum finishing above us!

Any top half finish is more than welcome. I, for one, have no expectations of any higher than ninth.

I want out of League One by any means and I imagine all fans feel the same ? I'd love free flowing attacking football with bags of goals, but loads of 1-0 wins home and away would be fine by me as long as we go up.

I don't. I think he believes he can have a real go. A 9th place finish is not going to see fans streaming back and puts us in exactly the same position next summer. This NEEDS to be a good season and he knows that.

After so many years of abject failure I think most City fans will not accept a 2 year 'project' and will be seeking us to be challenging this season.

I would take a 2 year plan, but we have become such a disconsolate and frustrated lot, I think an awful lot of fans want to see a real challenge here and now.

I think older, long suffering, ccfc fans will accept a 2 year project (perhaps even longer) as long as they see real improvement both in terms of results and style on the pitch. However I do think those younger fans who have never experienced us in the premiership may be more impatient and want instant results, instant success and instant promotion.

Anything but automatic promotion gained by Christmas or its Mowbray Out for me

I'd take 9th this season. So many years we've had to put up with near relegation positions!

That said, I'm not sure how many seasons in league 1 I can take

I would deem outside the top SIX to be failure, I expect top TWO but would accept
a play off place.

I think we could have a very productive season and you will still be disappointed.

Top 6 has to be the aim, a top half finish would be about par I'd guess but I'd still be disappointed.

It'll be our fifth season next year in L1 if we don't get promoted this year. Just reeks of the Championship to me, gradually getting worse every season and hoping there's 3 worse teams every season before ultimately going down.

If we have a productive season I'll be happy as Larry. It all boils down to what seems a good season my fifty years of supporting the City will be worth it. I will never be disappointed to see my club do well that's why I keep on supporting them. I will always be there no matter what !

I'm not one that goes by statistics but it is said that when you have a lot of 'derbies' in the league, the league form is hit because clubs raise their game for derbies. There are a lot of Lancashire and Yorkshire teams up there at the top and I can't see them all finishing in the top 6 or 8.

Ninth would be disappointing. Considering the management team in place, quality of signings so far with 2 or 3 to come and a sprinkling of youth players coming in a sustained challenge at the top 6 is a minimum for me. We need to lay the Ricoh bogey, do that we challenge.

If we finish one place below big spending Wigan we will be doing alright as I think they will go up as champions. I think we will end up about 14th.

they also have us 1 place ahead of another big spender Bury am I in some sort of parallel universe were Bury are a bigger spender than us, the depths these cretinous owners have taken us to
