Funny this because I just can't find any common ground to the view that this JPT matters to us?
The real prize is promotion and we should do all we can to achieve that.

You can say its a trip to Wembley but the shine has fallen off that in recent years with so many new and improved stadia. the final can be at Old Trafford for all I care.

We don't have to 'accept' anything. I do accept we are in league 1 but I don't accept it is where we want to be or should be. My aim and focus is entirely on getting out of this league. A club the size of ours should not be here and whether some younger fans have never seen a trophy or not for some 28 years is no different to the majority of clubs. Ask a cross section of fans if they would trade this cup opportunity for a chance at the play offs and I know what they would say.

IF we made it to Wembley and that is dimissing the likes of Doncaster or Preston by the way, I would still not be the slightest bit bothered. I can't see it being a money spinner either so with all the risk of burn out playing too many games, injuries and all, we are risking our chances of pushing up the table to where we want to be.

On this season I want all our eggs in one basket! The league.

its not an either /or situation though paxman

noone is saying give up on promotion, just saying winning silverware is huge for cov and the fans

i would back JPT winners to win a playoff final rather than a team that lost in area quarters

this could do wonders for player/fan mentality.

Forget Spurs, although I've just booked my train tickets... :thinking about: But tonights game against the Blades is our biggest game for years. Beat them we have fantastic chance of Wembley, I believe we are going to win tonight and go on to lift the JPT. It will be massive lift for the club and all us long suffering fans. Hope we have an half decent gate.

We all have to accept we are in Div 3.

Not bad from someone who never contradicts himself though

Yep. You don't accept anything except for the things you do accept.

And maybe he will make an acceptance speech about it.
