I haven't been to either of the friendlies we've played so far so wondering if anyone can confirm that we played 4-3-3 when in possession and then slipped into a 4-5-1 when out of possession. It would be interesting to see if this is the tactic we are going to lead with next season. I believe a 4-3-3 would offer us a lot going forward and would surely promote goals in the side, but then the ability to slip back into a 4-5-1 helps us to crowd the midfield and off the opposition very little space. 4-5-1 can also be adapted into a 4-2-3-1, (a formation I've seen alot of posters suggest we use) with two midfielders sitting back and one pushing forward. Either way I hope that this is indeed Thorn trying to promote attacking football which will see us scoring alot of goals next season.
The below is the a post I put on after yesterday's game.
"It was kinda a 4-4-2 but very attacking. Sometimes 4-5-1 come 4-3-3 ( from what I could make out). When Hussey came on he spent more time in front of Sheff. Fleck was in various places, always looking for the ball."
