I think the term "breathtaking hypocrisy" is apt.

The rugby authorities? What about the fans? Do they see things differently? OK, so let me ask you again. We're moving to Cornwall as we are an "ambitious sports club" and the FL are going to let us do it because they "see things differently".

It's OK now then presumably or are you going to think of something else to excuse the move and make out it's ok for one team but not for another?

Everyone should have had chance to bid for the Ricoh, not just Wasps.

Saw an interesting post from a wasps fan justifying the move., it was something along the lines of....

"Spoke to a Gloucester supporting mate, he said if it wasn't financially viable for Gloucester to be playing in Gloucester, they wouldn't be playing in Gloucester...."

I've never slagged anybody off for going to watch CCFC in Northampton, why would I start now ?

Higgs shares. Yes, stitched up by Higgs, CCC and Wasps weren't we?

I don't get people - there are many on here - who apparently don't care about Wasps but who constantly back them and make excuses for them; and against the club they support, Coventry City.

Strange has passionate people get for a team they are "not interested" about.

we ( SISU ) screwed up. From day 1 and even more under Igwe and Dulux. Is that excusing Wasps.? Maybe, but not intentionally, the point being that SISU blew it. Is that against CCFC? Maybe as SISU are the owners - at the moment. They were not always there and will go at some time, so it is stretching it a bit, to say that I am against "the club" when SISU are only transient and not fundamental to the "club". I think that is actually very unfair to say.

as I said I am not interested in Wasps. Hardly passionate. I couldn't give a monkey's.

Oh ok. so long as a move suits you then you don't really care about the whys wherefores and morals? Imagine MUFC moved here, it would be brilliant for you, wouldn't it? "top class" football on your doorstep. Yummy.

Hypothetical distraction.

I care about a lot of things but if Wasps fans are not bothered why should I be.
The ones I talk to are over the moon about their new stadium.
A lot traveled anyway to Wycombe

You would never have breathed a word of it if you were from Northampton and went to watch CCFC? Why's that, ashamed?

If you were SISU you would also be embarassed to offer free tickets there too, great marketing if Wasps do it ha

Everybody who went to watch at Sixfields were supporting the SISU plans weren't they? That was what you liked telling everybody.

That's just from memory, while you weren't stood there shouting SCAB you were certainly getting digs in.

No. The value is more. Whether the council has an interest that the club brings in revenue is a different subject. You could say that the council could accept a lesser offer from an existing club than a new one. Doesn't alter the value to us, but helps in negotiations. The value to us if only based on TF's guesstimate is up to circa 30m. We could go that high and not be worse off.

attack doesn't have to be a punch. If you slag me off and try and bully me you will get either nothing or, maybe, a punch in the face ( theoretically of course ). Which approach do you think Wasps took? CCC is a shit council and Cov is a dump? Or " Hi Ann, lovely city you have here, good communications, state of the art stadium, forward looking council etc... can we meet up with your council officers and see how we can work together to improve your lovely city?" I'll take the second as more likely.

Wasps only alternative - as they had oddly stated that they would go bust with no ground ownership - was real estate around London. A far more expensive option.

Your argument is embarrassing.

Guess who liked this:

Shame on all those who have continued to go and add to the charade and accepting that its ok to go. Whilst the weak continue there is less reason to come home. No conscience no backbone just selfish and in many cases hypocritical following like lemmings who are too blond to see how much damage they are going and who hide behind "I'll support my club wherever" rubbish.

2,972! Is that it? I bet half of them were you Nick and Grendull anyway

They've missed their september deadline as well. Still a year is a very narrow window to get 3000 to sign a petition

Ah, here's Tony come to defend the team he's not bothered about. Their average attendance at Wycombe was 5000, so a pretty sizeable chunk.

And how many did we get signing our FixFootball petition Tony? You know for the team who you reckon should have a 25K stadium at least?

No i'm saying 3K on a petition from a team with an average 5K attendance is pretty impressive. Especially when their forum bans anyone who speaks against the move.

If you think success is ripping a club from one place and plonking it down in another.

Well I signed that petition and I'm sure I'm not the only one from on here who did or indeed the wider CCFC fan base and I've never ever been to a Wasps game ever and never will.

SISU would have done exactly what wasps have done and mortgaged it. The very same thing people wrote to their local councillors begging the Ricoh not to be sold to SISU for that reason. From the CC ratepayers view, it's still very much wait and see. They have been here a year, not long enough to judge. Sterling work though Italia. You keep at it with that sweeping. Some people will listen. Just a shame it's the uneducated ones.

Wasps taking on debt does not concern me, if they are financially stressed so what, that is their problem!
CCFC/OTIUM doing the same does as it impacts the finances at the club, can't you see the difference?

I see. So given that most clubs in the championship are hugely crippled with debt you are not an advocate of clubs overspending in any shape or form?

What's the big plan when we get promoted then Council Dart.

Not according to Torch. They were offered an alternative at Boreham Wood of a 15000 seater ( your favourite number for an exclusive stadium ) stadium with a hotel for 22m. Not more expensive- if you include loan repayment for the Ricoh. Point being that 15000 with a hotel is no match for the Ricoh, even if it is far away. A no brainier for Wasps, but constant posturing and haggling for us ( SISU ). Now we are discussing a 15000 stadium at the Butts.... What will that cost and what facilities will we get? Won't happen will it? Should have gone in friendly and bid up to 30m for the lot with no messing about.

One slight flaw. They haven't paid for the loan. Bond purchasers have. All they actually need to do is pay the 6% return for now. The total cash outlay or mortgage dependant upon is zero.

So what's £30 million got to do with anything? They've paid virtually nothing. They can't even pay for the academy that's supposingly bring built.

stop bullshitting.

He means CCFC should have bid 30 mill. They should have paid a lot more than Wasps actually did because it means more to them.
