Boro , WBA and Sheffield United

And 3 different performances in my opinion

Boro high tempo and work rate , WBA game won early and we were composed and last night arguably weren’t at our best won the game in a five minute spell . Then defended and battled like Spartans .

Brilliant stuff on to Stoke

Beating Stoke would be beautiful as I think the teams below us will drop points again this weekend.

TBH, I'm still waiting until we play 'top teams' cos obviously we're in a false position ( according to most other fans)
These lads are fucking supreme, I've looked at Haji's goal a few times and how the fuck does he see where that gap is?????? he places it perfectly but from the camera angle it looks like a wall of legs to go through.

I was 12 last time we got into the top League and my 72nd birthday is in June, so I've done my time waiting. PUSB

Massive. Look at the table again. We've broken out at the top once more.

If we can follow it up with another handful of wins then we will be done with games to spare. Got to aim for that.

I'd actually like the Bristol game to end up being moved so we can stack 3 home games in a row. If we get 7 points + from those we'll be laughing.

I didn't think we played that great last night, but we did apply ourselves really well. I was particularly pleased with the number of blocks we made. There are always surprise results in the Championship which go against the grain so its important not to be complacent against Stoke and that we go at them right from the off and not give our pursuers more hope. Defensively Stoke have been solid this season, so it would be nice to get ahead early and not give them something to cling on to.

I mentioned this yesterday. If we were to go 3 games clear of Boro, I don’t see them making that up in 11 games.

Not with their away games. If they lose to Ipswich that’ll be a killer blow for them imo.

Whilst Ipswich still have 2 games in hand I'm worried that third is only 5 points back. Once they're on the same number of matches and not won them both I'll be more comfortable.

Thats the thing, points on the board is worth more than games in hand.
Ipswich will have pressure of them BOTH being MUST WIN games.

100% it's just if we know they'd only picked up 3 points from them both we'd be comfortably clear of third. If we slip up a little then we could drop into the playoffs without playing. Notice I say could, not will. I'm hopeful they don't get much and we continue to be in control of our own destiny as we have been.

One of the games is Tuesday vs Hull so hopefully Hull can hold them to a draw.
