Think the plan will be to get a LW back up for EMC and play Wright at ST next year - Lampard does that when both are fit

Wright needs to have a Gyokeres Summer of 2021 where he came back strong, better with his back to goal, and with main character energy

Presuming we stay in the championship I’d be looking to rebuild the whole striking department. It’s not good enough. Simms, BTA, Wright can all go.

Falling into the dangerous territory where I want an entire new squad again. Yes, its flippant but that is how much tonight has pissed me off.

Need a strong centre forward. The amount of crosses we put in tailor made for some shithouse unit up front.

someone like Kieffer Moore or Carlton Morris would get 20 goals for us

It's needed imo, the 3 forwards aren't good enough/consistent enough, Bassette is still a kid so he can stay and continue to improve in the background.

Sheaf and Torp can't keep themselves fit enough and Allen is in his twilight years.

The backups aren't good enough for the defence either.

Big summer for the club, be interesting to see what we do.

I want a defence coach to at least cut down the number of God awful goals we keep conceding.

I can take the other side scoring a screamer. I can’t keep watching us basically score for the opposition.

Cant believe im saying it but I'd shift Wright if a bid comes in

On his day hes absolute unplayable. But that day is becoming further and further apart now.

Too many big games hes just looked disinterested and has the heart of a mouse

The whole forward line isn't good enough, including Simms and BTA

On his day Wright is a quality player but I’m starting to think this way too; we need much more consistency.

Both Collins and Wilson need to go as well, neither are good enough as back-up.

Bookmark this, I think we lose almost all of the following...
Wright
BTA
Simms
Sheaf
Allen
Eccles
Lati
Binks
Bidwell
Collins
Obviously Wright brings in the big money but I think the others combined bring in good money too. We need to be smart in the free market and spend the big bucks on players who can really move us forward.

Think you are right but what is the big money for Wright? Surely his ability to go missing for 3-4 games us going to temper any fee. Is anyone going to pay more than 10 million? I fancy MVE to go for more

£10 million is pretty big tbf. He's hard to price tbh, I mean he does score at a good rate and the market is weird (see Stansfield to Blues.)

Where would you see a possible landing ground for Haji ? I’d be surprised if any of the current prem teams would pay 10 mill + for him, so either a newly promoted or a move abroad

Wright is head and shoulders above our other forwards. It’s insane to say we should move him on. Consistent goals across two seasons, versatile and his all round play dwarves our other options.

We can’t justify a forward going MIA for so many games on the spin.

He doesn’t. That’s a complete myth. He’s out top scorer. We’re asking him to cover lots of ground out on the left and he’s still top scorer. He’s a constant threat.

Agree with this, haven't got a striker with even an inkling of aggression or bite, something we are missing currently. I'd take 10 mill now

The games where he’s a timid pussy cat are outnumbering those where he shows his quality.

Now do goals per minute on the pitch

Bundesliga. Josh Sargent too. A lot of Americans end up there.

Not disputing his goalscoring ability. But that’s showing that if he doesn’t score he basically offers nothing. And when we have (usually) 2 of our attacking 3 following that pattern it’s not good.

Stats, stats. I trust what I see on the pitch. It’s mad to want rid. But if he did go who are you getting in for 10m to do what he does?

That’s true. But he scores more than anyone else in the league and for a striker you can’t gloss over that.

Genuinely think someone like Kieffer Moore would have a great time in our system with all the crosses that get put into the box.

Simms and Wright can be fairies when it comes to attacking ball's in the air.

They will have money in their pocket and he will score plenty there and they could move him on.

Don’t know if Sam Surridge is a realistic proposition, or indeed whether MLS will have pushed him along in his development, but he’s someone I’d be interested to see.

Wright is such an enigma. When he's on it like vs Sunderland last time out he's a force. But then he seems to lose 90% of his footballing ability and becomes Simms 2.0 for the next 5 games.

Have you ever seen a player constantly falling over? Is he actually wearing bowling shoes?

Compare his impact on the game vs the guy on the opposite side it's night and day.

Carlton Morris please, I don’t care if hems just been relegated not scored many. In our system he’d fit like a glove. He’s what we’ve been calling out for I dont care if he’s the wrong side of 30 sign a young striker as well if we get rid of both Simms and Asante.

I can see big changes coming no matter what happens Tuesday. FL will have a very clear idea on who is not in his plans and i think that news will come pretty quickly. Going to be a busy time to get the right deals for those allowed to seek pastures new and those who they decide to bring in.

Lets get Tuesday out the way before working on having an opinion on our squad. Names id like to see in would be Dolan, Hardie, McDonnell, Bundu and the Ukraine CB from Plymouth.

Dolan is the only one from them who I’d want, I’d want Darling (Swansea), Burgess (Ipswich), Dolan (Blackburn), Morris (Luton)
