I think you’re right tbf, Doug seems to operate in a very methodical, long-term manner, I can’t see him whapping out £10-£15m on the last day of the window. Is Sheaf definitely going to Wrexham? If so then maybe we’ll get one midfielder in but tbh I’m not hopeful for anything. Maybe it’s just me being pessimistic as usual, but I genuinely think it’s getting too late in the day to be making big switcheroo’s

I wouldn’t panic too much about time. Deals get done a lot quicker on deadline day and can also be announced after the deadline as well.

I’m happy enough with Woolfenden. Upgrade on Binks and £10m+ on Hughes felt like a risk.

Wrexham is perhaps an 'exciting' move as they have some money and celebrity owners, but it is an embarrassing one for a player who thinks and has been told that he is better than us. If it was Southampton or something then maybe there would an argument, but don't let the Disney delusions fool otherwise.

I don't think they'll get relegated or promoted, but it is a step down from us and the way our club is at the moment.
