Hamer will be off to a Premiership team now.

My worry is that this will give them the financial firepower to buy Rudoni, as I don’t want him going to a Championship rival. The only good thing might be if this drives up the price that Newcastle or another top division club pays us.

It goes without saying that I want Rudoni to stay.

If we can rake in sell-on fees for both Hamer and Gyokeres this summer then we may actually have a decent warchest this year. Or we could pay Luis Binks for another couple of days.

On a plus note, I doubt Hamer will stay at Sheff Utd… am I right in thinking we have a 10% sell on?

QQ do United have to buy Tom Cannon now? Or does he go back to Leiceste?

What an investment he is…

Sheffield United have completed the signing of Republic of Ireland striker Tom Cannon from Leicester for an undisclosed fee, reported to be around £10m.

We could end up with £6m off odd from this sell ons.

Gets us a few quality signings with just that.

Then if MVE, Sheaf, BTA, Simms/Wright go then that’s a hearty war chest for Lampard to play with.

Could be £30m+

There’s a weird obsession with Keiffer Moore. His MPG is worse than all of our current strikers, barring Bassette.

If he’s the answer, I dread the question.

Since the playoffs are all done, one player I wouldn’t mind us having another look at is Holding. Didn’t play as much as you’d hope but based on stats did well when he did play and would offer real experience in the back line. You’d hope we a proper pre season he’d be starting more games.

Rob Holding - stats, career and market value

Rob Holding, Team: Sheffield United, Age: 29, Country: England, Height: 189 cm, Preferred foot: Right, Shirt: 5, Market value: €4.2M

I can see the club staying quiet for a bit yet and getting on with a lot behind the scenes. We need a big summer but being precise with deals is the key. Im sure Doug is clearing the decks 1st and getting a clear idea of the budget and support he can give FL.

Im sure we are looking at the right players and players that will be an improvement on the current squad. I can definitely see loans being used..

Last year, my number one target was Rudoni. This year, it’s Salech from Cardiff.

He’s the striker we need. Hopefully some release clause in his contract but I should think most championship clubs will be after him.

If we get rid of Wright I’d be investing in this lad. Gets 20 goals for us it will be another player we will make a lot of money from as only 23.

I could only take that seriously if Birmingham weren’t 4th favourites.
