If Middlesboro can sell caramel Latte to Atlanta for £20m, then i'd be wanting/hoping for something close for Wright.

I respect his persistence even though he couldn’t even get the starting 11 right for the last game. Attention seeking loser

Fingers crossed Rudis admiration for FL means he would give us at least 1 more season if we do not go up….. Unless FL leaves and takes him with him

Who's leaving then if we fail to go up?

MvE looks ready for a step up sadly. We are going to have to work hard to back fill his spot. Would 100% get two RB in as he had no cover as it is.

Also have a nagging feeling that Wright (Agent) might angle for a pre home WC move to get him more exposure. Personally I think he'd be better served sticking here and building on what he has, he took ages to settle and that might screw his chances of a WC squad spot.

Sheaf? Might not be in such a hurry to leave now. I suppose it depends on if we want to keep hold

Rudi will stick around under Lampard, his value is rising no need to cash in yet.

Collins, just got to shift at any price.

Other than that I can't see much more movement out unless we can cash in on some of the fringe players or get our money back for a few of the l as consistent players

Yeah, I think failing to go up and we'd lose at least one of Van Ewijk, Wright or Rudoni.
At least we'd get the fee as they're tied into contracts.

I suspect Sheaf will be off too.
Wonder if Lampard would be tempted to cash in on Thomas-Asante or Simms as well?

Think we'll still have a good base to build from though if we fall short this season

Yeah. What might hinder Wright with bids is that he can have quiet spells and runs of games where he doesn’t give great output.

What do we estimate then
Wright £15-18M
MVE - £12-15M
Rudi £20M

Im guessing:
Wright: £15-20m
MvE: £12-15m
Rudi: £25-30m

We are in a really strong place if we don't go up. Is there anyone actually out of contract other than Pato?

Basically it feels like it's Frank and the recruitment teams call on who to cash in on and who to keep.

This lot are pretty untouchable unless they agitate for a move or a crazy bid comes in:

MvE
Wright
Rudi
Grimes
Thomas
Kitching
EMC
Sakamoto
Torp
Dovin

This lot are good squad players or have signed new deals recently. Fine to go again unless we get good offers.

Eccles
Bidwell
Dasilva
Lati
Allen
Wilson

Then you have the pair of strikers.

Simms - lot of cash tied up in him, are we going to see that back? is there a world where he realises his strengths and plays to them week in week out? Could we actually ever get a consistent tune out of him? When he's good he's great but he's been so inconsistent. Probably the biggest stick or twist decision of the lot.

BTA- that camo Vs Middlesbrough has helped. He's an odd player, maybe he's a good wildcard to keep.

Need a Loan

Basette
Raphael

Get rid at any cost ( harsh but I think there is no coming back, needs a new start)

Collins

If in the championship I think it might be wise to stick with the majority of the squad this summer and concentrate on adding depth. That might mean we sell one star to fund that but I honestly think adding a few quality player and bumping current starters down the pecking order and we will look really strong

The only first teamers with less than two years left are Collins and Allen. We’ll see how we feel if we fail to get rid of someone but on paper King has done an excellent job of securing the squad. I think I saw something that puts us as one of the most contracted squads in Europe/UK/the universe.

I thought Allen might have been out of contract, but confirmed above he's not!

Pretty much agree completely with your assessment.
I like Simms and Thomas Asante, but if we have chance to improve on them, I'd take it.
Wilson and Collins I'd look to move on, but I imagine we'll keep one in the meantime while Dovin is out.

I can't even begin to comprehend what will happen if we do go up though

Yeah doesn’t take much to have David Bell on a four year deal, but if King can offload, and so far he’s been able to, it’s not a huge worry.

Technically he is out of contract. We have an option to extend which hasnt been mentioned yet if it has been taken up

Maatsen went to Villa for £40m and spent the majority of the season as a substitute left back. I think Rudoni is better, albeit with no PL experience. So £38m and not a penny less.

Think after tonight we desperately need a consistent striker. We can't just rely on a attacking mid providing goals each week.

BTA and Simms do not cut it for me. Wright has been off it since his hat trick.

Would have put Bassette in just for some experimenting but he's injured for the season.

Would like to see a target forward come in who can win first balls, offer us an outlet and get on the end of crosses. Any suggestions?

Wright has been a pussy cat for too many games but it’s Simms who needs moving on the most.

Both need going imo. Wright is just nowhere near consistent enough for the amount we paid and Simms just isn't good enough.

Presuming we stay in the championship I’d be looking to rebuild the whole striking department. It’s not good enough. Simms, BTA, Wright can all go.
