It is strange really, Bassette had his only real run in the side under LampardHe definitely doesn't.
Given the fee we paid he's been a bad signing.
He doesn't really have any redeeming qualities, has shown nothing to really suggest he'd ever make it at this leve and thinks he's considerably better than he is. A bad mix for a footballer.
The above is compounded further by the fact we didn't even need him in the first place.
Hopefully we can somehow recoup some of the fee either over the next few days or in a future window.

Surely he’ll be worth more after a season with us than relegation fighting hull ?In the recruitment team at Liverpool they talk about “unicorn” footballers - those who are worth paying above your spending brackets as they drastically improve your team - e.g. Alisson & van Dijk

Had a few offers over the years but was very happy at Swansea until Lampard let him know he would like to sign him.
