Boving? From what we see European youngster start to develop when they are 23/24 look at Viktor, so underrated at that age and it was when he came to us and filled out a bit he started to bloom. The thing is will Norman be the same? We he develop as time goes by and is this Boving any different from our Norman? Please don't say he scores goals because the championship is very different from European leagues, I'm sure if you placed Norman in the Austrian league he would score goals.

The record isn’t particularly inspiring and it does concern me a bit if we start accumulating these prospects like toys.

Its not a great league but Sturm Graz are a decent team. Won the league last season I think.

Only worry with Burnley is I assume they have some sort of sell on clause so the fee could be reduced somewhat

Obviously it depends upon the wording of the transfer agreement but on a commonsense basis the discount would be the same as the sell-on fee we would pay them if he was sold to another club.

Wrexham going to spunk a lot of money to still be a pretty shite team. Their transfer strategy so far has been absolutely honking tbh.

Doyle to Wrexham would be disappointing, trust our team that they didn’t want him, could have doubled up as left back option also.

Strand Larsen looks like he’s off to Newcastle. I have a sneaking suspicion Wolves will go for Haji.

Very frustrating to lose out on Doyle to Wrexham as well.

Bad news that, he must have preferred the Frankie & Bennies they offered. Lessons to be learnt here Doug.

Kind of over Doyle now, its a boring saga. He's good but i'm sure we can find as good or better... as for spunking a combined £18 million on Broadhead and Doyle, i'm not sure what to say. You could build a fairly competitive team with that kind of money but theirs still looks pretty poor overall. Think Parkinson will be hopelessly exposed this season.

I'd be happy with their CB pairing of Coady and Doyle.

If Doyle is available for £8m then we clearly either don’t want him or don’t think he’s worth the money.

That he's enough to be "cover"

Truth is the squad is pretty unbalanced at the moment.

The KKH signing is looking odd.

Is it?

We need cover for MVE if he stays and if he goes we need KKH and another.

Not sure as many have said we were ever after Doyle.

But truth remains we are desperate for a CB whether that be a back up or starter. Hopefully see some more movement today

I'm pretty sure we thought MvE would be off but as we build a better squad you are naturally going to end up with players that cost a bit more money on the bench. I'd rather be there than cracking on with Bidwell, Allen and co tbf.

Well thats the thing. If MVE was on his way out I could understand it but he's not.

We still need a good back-up so hence KKH - can't see the confusion tbh

I know its all ifs and buts, but considering we were chucking 9 million quid at Hull for Hughes, Callum Doyle for 8 million is an absolute no brainer. We know how good he is, and he can also play LB

Makes fucking zero sense to me

Unreal signing for the sheep botherers though

Think it’s fair to say we probably don’t want him / think there’s better options at this stage. Like a Hughes for example, again trust in Lampard and team.

I like Doyle, but there’s also bias given he was part of the play off team.

Well the confusion is we spent £4m on a backup RB but we currently have Bidwell as a backup LCB

I do wonder on Doyle what his wages are considering he signed a long deal with City after his loan to us. Assume Wrexham don’t have the wage cap we do. Might explain us looking at Hughes (also hughes can play on both sides of the defence)
