We bid for Hughes ONLY after a bid was on the table for MvE.I don’t think we need to sell Thomas to sign one. We bid for Hughes well before any Thomas rumours appeared.
I think it’s more likely we sell MVE and bring in a CB than sell Thomas to bring one in.

If we'd of signed Hughes, we would of accepted the bid for MvE (imho)
If we buy big, we will definitely be sellin
He then went on to sayIt’s exactly what he said, he’d like another CH but we’ve tried bidwell there and he was ok, obviously he wants one but if we don’t then we’ll manage
Just my viewHe then went on to say
"We know what we need; I certainly know what we need and that’s fine.”
He added: “It’s the early part of the season and we’ve got time left in the window, so that’s all to say.”
Yet you concluded 'I think that's us done'?
200cls on the continent I think,is that right? You're just drinking too slowly.
Thomas had a very mixed performance yesterday, but in general has been a very good player for us.I’m surprised people are so keen to ship Thomas out, I think there’s more to come from that partnership and there is no guarantee what’s coming in is better .. never best time to do your business especially at the back line into the new season . partnerships take time to form
I am and tbf I have only seen it hereYou in QLD? Cause we don’t drink it in VIC. It’s more Carlton Draught

You do realise how difficult is to sign the players we might want. Teams have to want to sell. Not as easy as we had time to do it alreadyJust my viewdidn’t think we’d have to sell a player first to bring somebody in,if the money was there we’ve had all summer to get someone ?
Depends what players your trying to sign, if its players within your budget fine, go and get them, shouldn’t be too hard attracting players to a club that’s finished play off finals and the play offs recently, no point trying to get 10 million pound centre halves you can’t afford and saying , well we tried ?You do realise how difficult is to sign the players we might want. If we have to sell someone to bring in a CB after selling Binks it is pretty appalling.
Cheap as Pye and chips.Depends who you bring in doesn’t it. Someone like Hughes will cost around the £12 million.
Pye who could back up Kitching would only be around £3.
on their websiteWas reading Peps comments in the media today after the Wolves match. He is very keen not to have an inflated squad with players who are not going to feature, as he feels it's bad for morale. I hope that sentiment might translate in to us being able to get Doyle on closer to our terms, equally might encourage other clubs too!
A herd of sheep vs the dog
Where I am it's either 200ml or 400ml - I wish it was 200cl!200cls on the continent I think,is that right?
But we want players to improve the first team not squad fillers to appease impatient fans. They cost money.Depends what players your trying to sign, if its players within your budget fine, go and get them, shouldn’t be too hard attracting players to a club that’s finished play off finals and the play offs recently, no point trying to get 10 million pound centre halves you can’t afford and saying , well we tried ?
I’d guess he has the ability, he’s come from the Man City and Liverpool academies. I’d be surprised if that’s not the first thing coached into their defendersI'm trying to get my head round the Thomas out/ Hughes in debate.
Some of us would be happy to swap Thomas because he's a decent defender but a bit flaky playing out from the back, and replace him with Hughes , whose a good defender, in a team that doesn't play out from the back and, in that respect, is unproven
Corrected, quantities inflated somewhat.🫣Where I am it's either 200ml or 400ml - I wish it was 200cl!
At the moment, with a manager under pressure and not a happy squad I don't think. While it is clear we could do with 1 or maybe 2 CH ,especially if we sell Thomas, I'm not sure the defence was as bad yesterday as some are making out. Clearly conceding 3 goals is not ideal, but looking at the 3 goals, the first one was a direct free kick, from a dubious foul conceded by a forward. Possibly Rushworth could have done better..
With the penalty, the referee clearly waves it away to start with, but a couple of Derby players surrounded the ref and he was 'persuaded' to point to the spot. Yes maybe Thomas could have been stronger , but even top clubs have given that type of penalty.
Liverpool with apparently the best defender in the world let a Bournemouth player run 70 yards without a single challenge to score on Friday. Hull let 3 goals in midweek against a weakened Wrexham with Hughes playing the whole game.
Thomas is not perfect, but yesterday he scored one and assisted our 3rd vital goal. If true you wonder why Sheff UTd , apparently are more interested in Thomas than Hughes.
I think Thomas is well liked by the fans because of his attacking goal threat and whole hearted approach but defensively he has work to do that is clear. At fault for 2 goals yesterday.I'm trying to get my head round the Thomas out/ Hughes in debate.

Don’t think he’s much better than what we haveJust noticed Edwards was benched by Southampton. Would 100% have him here.

Don’t think you’ll see much improvement. They are what they are at their age. Kitching is fine. Thomas gets caught out positionally too often.I like Thomas and Kitching, i think there's improvement to come from both of them too. Perhaps spend 2-3 million on a decent back up centre half instead of spanking loads on one that will hinder their development as a pairing. It's a tough one, but I think they've enough potential still. We should have heavily invested in a LB that was ready to go from day 1, let's hope Brau get can up to speed.

Wants to go? Or is open to going? From one of their itks “I did hear that selles wanted a championship proven defender but I didn’t have it confirmed by usual source so didn’t post. Good news is he wants to come bad news Coventry are reluctant to let him go although once players head is turned then it’s usually a matter off timeprice a bit steep for me though but like I said there’s money there no matter what people say. I think there team announcement will be interesting for their early kick off vs Derby.”
