Bassette is yet to touch the ball once for Belgium and hasn’t featured in a single squad since he was called up last minute. What appears to be a glorified work experience placement is doing an awful let of legwork in justifying what kind of potential he has.
Very good signing but a loan.Signed a goalkeeper also.
I think what hurts us most with EMC is his inability to play on the right. He looks a totally different player on that side. This affects our ability to be flexible with subs and means that Wright has to play CF. Have we ever seen Wright on the right? I wonder why he can’t play there.
Same for Sakamoto… are all our wingers incapable of swapping sides?
He was so shit for Derby that day.Club legend for his performance in the last game at Highfield Road alone.
So, we thinking anybody in or out before Saturday?
Look at who wasn't in the side tonight. Either protecting from injury, already injured or just plain shite. So, we thinking anybody in or out before Saturday?
Interesting listen - Coventry City - Lampard following Real Betis draw - BBC Sounds
Wouldn't think so. Wright is back from injury in about 2 weeks. Then he will be a long way away from match fitness.Get the feeling we make do until wrights back ?
How do you know we won’t get a season out of himWright is injury prone and we won’t get a season out of him. We need a quality signing up front.
How do you know we won’t get a season out of him
Yeah but when he’s fitHe’s not going to even start the season…
Got a bad injury and didn't seem to fully recover from it. Doesn't mean that he is injury prone.Wright is injury prone and we won’t get a season out of him. We need a quality signing up front.
One second Binks was our player. The next he was gone.I doubt there is anyone that close else I think we’d have heard something in the press. All our signings so far were rumoured well in advance.

Didn't he join them with the injury? He didn’t recover fully from his initial injury to only get a new injury with US. Not having a proper pre season. Annoying really but we can’t hope he’s the answer this season. We do need another top striker.
That was an outgoing. Brau was first linked about a month before he signed, same for Kessler-Hayden. Rushworth was first reported at least a week in advance if not more. One second Binks was our player. The next he was gone.
We're keeping quiet about signings. It's the other sides letting the cat out the bag so far. That was an outgoing. Brau was first linked about a month before he signed, same for Kessler-Hayden. Rushworth was first reported at least a week in advance if not more.
Emc is even more predictable that Tats he has to bring it inside every time tonight he had chance with his left foot to bang it over and cut backA guy I know works with a Peterborough fan and reckons EMC was one of the best players to ever play for them. We haven’t seen the very best of him yet, but that run of games before he got injured he was often unplayable, he’s quality.
I know it would be a step up but I would be happy if we replaced one with Kone - young and uses his physicality. Good scoring record too.
I doubt we can afford to. We spend approx. £20m on our current strikeforce. We can't really expect any incomings in that department unless someone is moved on.Lampard’s post-match interview seems pretty clear that we’re not currently looking at a new striker…
Suspect he's just not giving much away.Lampard’s post-match interview seems pretty clear that we’re not currently looking at a new striker…
Absolutely no reason why he couldn't play on the right IMO. He had a few so-so games there when he first came to the club if I remember correctly, and some on here slagged off his performances, but he was finding his feet at a new club and at a level he hadn't played before. Cutting him a bit of slack you could see he was a quality player, but people seem to jump to an early judgement and never let it go.I think what hurts us most with EMC is his inability to play on the right.
surely during a game you'd expect him and Tats to swap over, just to cross it on their proper foot??Absolutely no reason why he couldn't play on the right IMO. Yeah, an occasional reversion to the traditional deployment of wingers might shake things up a bitsurely during a game you'd expect him and Tats to swap over, just to cross it on their proper foot??
