I wonder what the expectation was for Bassette when he signed. Where was he supposed to fit in? Similar to BTA really, in hindsight not bad players on the face of it but not obviously suited to a role in our favoured system.
Option to buy is a lot different to obligation to buy. Option means they can make an offer, doesnt mean we have to accept it

Doyle's rating on FotMob for 24/25 was 7.09, Kitching's was 6.91.Is Doyle better than Kitch? If the answer is Yes (it is) we will be better off with him in the team. If the fee was 4-5 mil people wouldn’t be questioning it. The rumour is Man City want 10 mil, if we could do 5 mil and the rest in add ons it would be a good deal. Doyle looks to have a very high ceiling which could easily see us double our money in a couple of years.
I don't mind Kitching, think he gets a hard time from a few on here and for the last couple of seasons we've always been better when he's in the team. But the answer to your question is still yes, Doyle is better. Is Doyle better than Kitch? If the answer is Yes (it is) we will be better off with him in the team. I think Kitching is good but after striker he’s definitely the next upgrade in terms of the first 11, if this brau is decentI don't mind Kitching, think he gets a hard time from a few on here and for the last couple of seasons we've always been better when he's in the team. Yes LB is a funny one. Hopefully Brau is the answer if not it's going to be another season of that being the obvious weakness.I think Kitching is good but after striker he’s definitely the next upgrade in terms of the first 11, if this brau is decent
Yeah, very strange. BTA is the weirder one for me as he’s hitting his peak years and yet I just couldn’t/can’t see him being a regular starter here. Did he really see that for himself ? Wonder what Robins told him ?
Bassette is still young, he should've just got his head down, worked hard on developing his game and made the most of his chances as and when they came along. Doesn’t sound like he’s had that attitude so far though. I’d still prefer loan only as I reckon with the right mindset he could end up being a really good player
It’s been that way for the last couple of seasonsY

Rotherham.I don’t this he is ITK but has some sort of connection up north. Can’t remember if it’s one of the Sheffield clubs or something.
Not Sakamoto? His FotMob match rating was 6.80 over 44 games. His goal tally of 4 outperformed his xG of 3.11 (or something like that). Bobby Thomas’ xG was 4.78 for reference and had about 15 more shots too.I think Kitching is good but after striker he’s definitely the next upgrade in terms of the first 11, if this brau is decent
I like Sakamoto, do I think we need competition in that area with the potential to upgrade? YesNot Sakamoto? His FotMob match rating was 6.80 over 44 games. When you’ve got 10+ wingers from last season on 12-15+ goal contributions and we have none, it’s a problem. When we only have 2 goal scorers in Wright and Rudoni.
I’d say the same about EMC, but his same size was a lot smaller and his underlying numbers suggest he could be a 15 goal/assist player over 40+ games.
Last season Sunderland were 4th. They may have got promotion through the playoffs but are you seriously saying they were lots better than us?The gap from 4th to 5th is probably the biggest in the division and definitely larger than 5th to 12th IMO. If you were clustering us we aren’t with the top four, we’re with those below us like Norwich Middlesbrough etc.
The only recall option available is in January. Nothing else is possibleA loan with a few recall options would be best for Norm.
He's young and hungry just needs game time.

Yes the Monaco one i think.Did someone call out when the XIs were posted for a friendly that Binks and Bassette were missing, or did I imagine it?.
Does option not mean they get the choice to buy or not.....obligation means they have to buy him. If it's how you say, then that's just any normal transferOption to buy is a lot different to obligation to buy. Option means they can make an offer, doesnt mean we have to accept it
Sakamoto needs to be a much bigger goal threat himself@Mucca Mad Boys don’t you think a new number 9 would thrive from the delivery from Sakamoto like Rudoni does?
Option: The club can choose if they want to buy him or not for a pre agreed feeOption to buy is a lot different to obligation to buy. Option means they can make an offer, doesnt mean we have to accept it
Obligation means they have to buy yes. Option means they can choose to purchase him at an agreed price but they dont have to act on itDoes option not mean they get the choice to buy or not.....obligation means they have to buy him. If it's how you say, then that's just any normal transfer
Yes but its still difference. They could decide, like me, that he isnt very good and not buy himOption: The club can choose if they want to buy him or not for a pre agreed fee
Obligation: The club must buy him for a pre agreed fee
We get no say either way.
Would worry if his legs have gone to be able to play our high lineBen Mee anyone? Still a free agent, left footed CB with loads of experience

EMC needs a big season that’s for sure if he wants to be our frontline left winger
Yes the Monaco one i think.

but I just think it’s more imperative we upgrade at lcb
to answer EMC, I think we’ll sign a number 9 and I’d then have haji on the left
I was going to post that RW is a bigger priority than CB for me. Sakamoto a decent player but not effective enough consistently enough, ignoring the recency bias.
