No one. I just meant he's had a role reversal as now more peoople on forum see him as a capable player and potentially even first choice LB when used to be seen as an absolute liability by some

We need to sign him. Norwich are out of the race. They’ve signed someone else.

Hopefully we can make a bid now we’ve got the Gyok deal all sorted. Club apparently expecting a bid soon

JDS, Allen and Bidwell have been good servants for us. They played a big part on us getting where we are now but since the Gyokeres and Hamer money they have become bit part players that have always given 100% whenever called upon. You can't fault any of them for that.

They are still good enough to play for a lower down Championship side but we've outgrown them. But if we don't bring in better replacements I'm happy enough to keep them as back up. Never complain, never sulk just get on with their job.

And Bidwell is rock hard which is always good.
Allen was brilliant vs Sunderland in the 3-0 win.

No there isnt. I'd imagine even if there were interest, it would be more dependent on if we can shift a striker rather than Gyokeres moving being the stumbling block.

.....before Grimes came in. This next installment pays for Grimes. We're still a few million down with the signing of KKH.

I suppose we will find out soon if we need to balance the books or if extra cash has been made available to give Lampard a boost. We're not far away from being a very good side with decent replacements.

So a journalist for Walfoot in Belgium linked us a while back (Telegraph ran the story). Had a couple posters on here mention we were looking but tbf how reliable is that

Then we had a daily mail article saying how we are looking at wide forwards. So who knows. Well find out soon anyway as player made a comment about it possibly being his last match and the club expecting a bid soon

More likely to be MVE especially as Wright isn't fit to start the season. Would he even pass a medical?

We don’t know how the Rushworth deal was structured, could have been heavily weighted around us getting promoted hence they didn’t feel it was worth their time. All unknowns I guess

I don't think it is a case of just we have x amount to spend on players. I think it is more this player is available for this and we decide whether we want to spend the money on that player.

Patrick Bauer or Patrick Bamford. Either way…

Exclusive: Coventry Target Patrick Bauer After Preston Exit – Derby and Oxford Also Keen

Coventry City, Derby County, and Oxford United are interested in former Preston North End defender Patrick Bauer. The 32-year-old, who left Preston after six years, has attracted attention due to his proven capabilities as a centre-back. Despite injury setbacks in recent seasons, Bauer could be...

Experienced CB. Not really sure on the other positives. Maybe the plan is to let Binks go on loan and hopefully develop and have him on a backup for a year? Maybe save money here to spend elsewhere on the squad?

After all, you’d have Thomas, Kitching, Lati and Bauer as your choices in order and then maybe Binks comes back next year to replace Bauer?

Plus if we are a bit less rigid in shape, and change or start games with the back three, could be a good option down the centre?

I mean the defence still looks undercooked in that scenario. CB is too important a position to try and skimp it on the cheap.
