Think there’s no worry of that this season. We’ve got an extension apparently

Why did the tie go to extra time in the first place? We gifted you a goal at our own place and you took the win to 2nd leg.

We gifted Coventry a goal at our place when our full back completely lost his man ...

... until then our keeper didn't have a shot to save.

Our second goal at Coventry wasn't an OG, and we weren't sitting on the draw. Le Fée chased your full back down and Mayenda was already running before MVE kicked the ball. Your defender was too slow in chasing the pass and the keeper committed himself too early.

Having three players, all failing to do their jobs, doesn't win matches.

Those players are all part of the team, you can't just say errors cost you the game.

Do we think it just a coincidence that Sheaf has today been linked with Genoa when we are supposedly interested in their Seydou Fini?

Also add in Brooke Norton Cuffey on top of Fini plus £2m and you’ve got yourself a deal.

That means two solid RB and then sell MVE

KKH won’t be left back. I’ve seen it mentioned but it’s madness. We have 3 actual left backs at the club of which we’ve just signed one. To suggest putting a right back there is mad ahead of 3 players whose actual position it is

Just seems odd to bench our most expensive signing of the season, who was a Championship team’s POTY who played much of the season on the left, because we can’t imagine leaving out Jake Bidwell, Jay Dasilva, or the guy we signed from the Spanish second division.

And he played 16 games on the left. I don’t expect him to stay there for us, but if he’s better there than Bidwell, Dasilva or Brau (not a huge assumption to make) then he should play there until we need him at RB.

Not really the same is it? Our goal was poor defending from your defender whereas your winner at our place was from an unforced error. MVE’s back pass was should have been routine but was underpowered which left the GK in no man’s land.

Credit to your players for chasing the ball and punishing the mistake… it was a gift of a goal and it’s something MVE has done a few times last season.

Lampard had several job offers. He was only interested when we came along as we already had a decent squad and were not a rebuild model.

He played about 1/3 of the season on the left. He also played elsewhere than LB and RB.

A question for those who disagree. If MVE is still with us who will start as RB? If you think MVE at RB would we play KKH on the left or someone we constantly said last season isn't good enough and leave him on the bench?

If MvE's still here you play him. The new lad has to prove he's better, which will be difficult.

Well, if Lampard thinks he's better, then he'll play him.

I would not be onboard with that decision, certainly not before KKH has kicked a ball in anger for us, but that would be relevant to precisely nothing.

Because I think it would be an unnecessary risk to drop one of the best players in his position in the division, who could clearly preform at a higher level.

But that's moot, because I don't think Lampard would drop him if he's still here (and without a deal lined up).

But if he comes in and performs better than Milan whats the issue? While i get some of your point you are also clearly loathe to see one of your favourite players dropped as well

Coventry City is in advanced negotiations to buy Daniel Pereira; learn the details.
The European transfer market is buzzing, and one of the names attracting attention comes from Venezuela. Midfielder Daniel Pereira , from Austin FC in the United States, is close to signing with Coventry City in the English second division.

RTI Esporte news agency has learned that the deal is worth around US$4 million (R$22.3 million at the current exchange rate). Negotiations are at an advanced stage and may be officially announced by Coventry City in the coming days.

At 25, Daniel Pereira has stood out for his vision , marking ability, and quality in passing the ball. Sources close to the deal say that the English club's board sees the Venezuelan as a key player for the 2025/2026 season.

The move to English football represents a significant leap forward in the player's career. The Championship, the equivalent of the Brazilian Championship's Série B, is known for its intense pace, competitiveness, and strong fan base.

According to the report, Daniel Pereira, in addition to Coventry City, also received contacts from Birmingham City and Derby County , both in England. However, he ended up being touched by the sports project of the club, which is based northwest of London.

The player's staff has been working behind the scenes to finalize the deal in the coming days. This is because there's an understanding that playing in the EFL Championship also means more visibility. And this exposure could open doors to the Premier League.

If he can handle these challenges, Daniel Pereira has the potential to shine . The talent is there. Now, he needs to show he can turn his bet into reality. England could be the stage where the Venezuelan will write the next chapter of his career.

How long will Daniel Pereira's contract with Austin FC last?

First of all, Daniel Pereira has been at Austin FC since 2021. At the time, he ended up being the club's first choice in the MLS SuperDraft. This is because he had stood out in the Virginia Tech Hokies university team between 2019 and 2020.

Since then, he has played more than 100 matches for the North American team. In the meantime, he scored 5 goals and made 11 assists. In addition, the player adds calls to Venezuela's main team. His contract with Austin FC ends in December 2025.
