Ipswich looked so sharp because players were able to rotated. A player like Jack Clarke was brought into their starting 11 from the bench on Boxing Day. EMC not starting against Charlton was telling imo - Lampard has mentioned a few times that we’ve had to limit minutes at times.

It'd be a waste paying millions on players that might not make the step up. Fill this window with loans, get over the line, then pump £100m in to the squad with PL quality. Starting with £10m for Rushworth.Yeah for the first time in a long time the club needs to go short term focus rather than long. Don't care if we blow millions on expensive loans now.
I think Doug might be reluctant but hopefully he sees this as too big of an opportunity to pass up.

We should be able to offer plenty of playing time really, at worst a new winger would be getting 20/30 mins off the bench every week.
