Yep, he may have talent but we rarely see it. When it’s a tough game, he goes missing.

Haji is brilliant when he's on it. I want him to be part of the squad that gets us promoted. I appreciate what he's done to get us to this point. You're being a bit dramatic / hyperbolic, though.

He's not hit 20 goals in a season in this league. He's not on track to this season, either. We don't need 20 goals from one player in 22 games and we might not be in this league next season.

all a bit pointless as there's nothing solid that says he's off and I'd rather keep the squad together, but I don't think he's a keystone of the group and if there's a replacement lined up, so be it.

Cant imagine either will be coming in tbh. Plus can Harvey even play for another side as hes played for both Villa and Liverpool

Think that’s a bit optimistic. Genuinely can’t see Ferguson going from Rome to us. Would be happy to be proven wrong.

If he`s not getting what he wants, he`s pure poison in the team.

You have to look at how many games he`s played for Marseille after he left Everton and has since been virtually frozen out of the team.

It`s not that he`s a bad player, as he`s not, it`s just that due to the fact that he`s small, he can only play in a certain set up, where he`s either feeding off a big man or he`s almost being played as a false 9.

If things don`t go right for him, he becomes pretty toxic within the team and also with the fans too.

One to avoid ( imo )

Elliot`s loan from Liverpool has a clause to buy, that kicks in after 10 appearances, hence why Villa aren`t playing him anymore !

It’s literally impossible for Elliot to play for us this season since he’s already appeared for 2 different clubs.

We need West Ham in to get a bidding war, Beskitas won’t pay top whack but West Ham will. However it appears it’s about the Hull striker

There was a time not long ago during our struggles, Norwich would come and take our best player and we could not refuse the money. Would be nice to go get Sargeant who must be pondering how it's all turning out for him this season. Top striker, team mate of Wright and would be a great addition to get us over the line. He scores goals. He will want away and have the chance of promtion again.

Sergeant is not Prem quality, he also misses a lot of games through Injury. Norwich turned down 10 million + add on's in the summer and quoted teams 20 mil if they wanted him. Not worth the money.

The England manager at the time was Graham Taylor who handed out caps to some truly average players like Andy Sinton, Geoff Thomas etc

£4m got us two reserve players in defence. You aren’t finding a better striker than Wright for £8m have a word.

All I’m hearing is “yeah he’s a better goal scorer than Vik and Godden but I don’t like his face so get rid for a loss” SBT at its dumbest.

Massively agree!!

Fans are massively fickle - Haji has got shit since he’s been here, as has Simms & BTA.

It’s cyclical, whoever is scoring at time is quality & whoever isn’t is shit. It’s pathetic really, all three add something to the team as/when service is there and available.

Biggest issue we have at the moment is creating opportunities for those playing up top. Haji had literally nothing to work off the other night, could have Haaland playing for us & would have been same result & we wouldn’t have scored if we were still playing now.

Teams are setting up to stifle us & it’s worked to a degree, more so Ipswich as they had better players etc. Haji will score given service as he proved in his time with us, simple.

Haji is one of the most bizarre players ive ever seen - Dog or Dynamite with literally nothing in between, the eye test on him is also not great, like hes not been coached properly, movement, understanding of how to create angles to receive is so poor generally.

Then you see flashes of him using his frame, holding it, running with purpose - but sadly, its the exception more so.

However, he does seem to create chances, get in position to score - back he will still get circa 20 goals this season, which is a good return. he had looked better against Preston, Bristol and Saints - Ipswich to be fair was a horrible game to play lone striker, when he had nothing to feed on.

Bottom line, you don't destabilise everything we have built by selling a wright et al in Jan - unless a West Ham offered the £200m .

Why couldnt Mr King sign this quality replacement without us selling Haji?

Sign him now and then sell Haji once we are over the line

No one's said we would. I hope he stays and clicks but if there's a buyer for £10m or more and we've got a replacement lined up, I'd understand it. I'd expect we'd be breaking our transfer record to replace him.

I think it's hard to love a guy who in everything he says and does, looks like he's not arsed about the club. It's just chat because he's most likely here till the end of the season. Here's hoping he ends up with 20.

Never thought i'd be saying this a year ago but Haji and Simms go in the summer to help top up the pot for me. BTA stays, the player he's been this season is something else.

It’s just his style.

I’ve seen plenty wear the shirt with passion and hard work ( Sean Flynn, Julian Darby, Paul Telfer et al ) and my god they were hard to watch.

Yes Wright is frustratingly inconsistent but if he wasn’t he wouldn’t be playing championship football !

I really like BTA. Seems a genuinely great guy.

His goals this season have been an unbelievable surprise but don’t let it cloud your judgement of him as a player. He’s very limited. He plays with his head down, can’t spot a pass, and runs into blind alleys.

We need him back for his goal contribution and squad depth but I very much doubt he can step up another league should we get there.

Doesn't come into it for me. He's 28 with 18 months on his contract and I don't think he's progressed over his time here. It's a risk, but if we got a decent offer and had a strong replacement ready I'd understand the thinking. I'd rather we keep things steady and see him hit form but if not, I'd get it.

January isn’t usually a buyer’s market, although the Grimes transfer was an exception I’d say!

Let’s say we sell Haji for £20m - whoever we want knows we’ve got cash & we get held over a barrel to pay above the odds unless it’s for someone unknown & untried in the league in which case it’s a measured risk.

I personally wouldn’t sell any of our squad now as when it clicks it’s good, we’re not top without Hajis goals earlier in the season, similar to Simms, BTA. The focus should be on adding depth as/where needed to finish season how we started.

Fans should be prepared to alter the long held opinions when performances improve drastically in front of their very eyes, there is nothing clouding my judgement. BTA has been outstanding this season. He's pacy, he's strong, he's prepared to shoot. I'm not saying he'd be a Prem superstar or that he'd start depending on who we bring in but he deserves a go as much as anyone this season.
