Personal relationships will help of course but really this comes down to the club being the most attractive option for the player and then being able to offer Chelsea enough money. I think we actually could do the latter but I don’t think we are the former.

Join a side that's a relegation candidate or join a side going up that's been breaking records along the way. Help them to be even stronger. Have 6 months of getting used to the other players before the serious stuff starts. Playing for an ex world class player that will help you improve and knows the set up he is playing in.

I personally still would like a striker in Jan, as well as a CM who can also cover in the 10 and a winger who operates both sides.yeah, nobody is talking about us needing a striker when it comes to who they’d like to see us buy in Jan. Bamfords a very good player but some need to let it go
