There are some that would have started one yesterday if they could to be honest but yes a bit more will have to happen before the confidence for a full blown thread is there.I bet the first ‘Lampard out’ thread appears within two months.
In the Prem we’d be underdogs in all but a small handful of games. Personally I think that’d bring back the siege mentality we’ve lost which is great, others wouldn’t handle it though. There are some that would have started one yesterday if they could to be honest but yes a bit more will have to happen before the confidence for a full blown thread is there.
Where are these links from tho? Without that we don't know which bullshit pile to put them inHere are just a couple:

I feel reasonably confident that I won't happen. It sounds as if the player just wants the most money, rather than being committed to our project. Fair enough if that's his view but if so I'm not sure that I want him anyway if he's just a mercenary. We seem to have a great attitude within the squad and I would hate to see anything that upsets that.
It will 100% result in threads calling for Lampard to go if we’re in the relegation zone for a few weeks. In the Prem we’d be underdogs in all but a small handful of games. Personally I think that’d bring back the siege mentality we’ve lost which is great, others wouldn’t handle it though.

Can’t imagine he’d go to Stoke. They’re in free fall and it’s hard to see where they can rally back, they should beat Swansea but then they’ve got Watford, Sheff U and PNE to finish 2025. That’s tough. There are several sites, probably all with a common source, saying the same.
I'm pretty sure that the report of Mjallby pausing negotiations to try and get a higher price is true, as it has been very extensively reported. As to the rest, including the suggestions that Bournmouth are the new favourites and that Stoke have outbid us on the transfer fee and wages, who knows?
I'm pretty convinced that it won't happen but no doubt we will soon find out.

strikes me as his agent/club putting his name about.
Would it though? He doesn’t strike me as a player that would come in and start from day one. If it’s a loan, I’m open to that but not much on a permanent because for whatever reason, he’s not trusted in the Prem.Dan Neil would be a good signing, but if its true, plenty of PL and richer clubs also seem interested
He would to get us over the line for promotion. A loan would be fineWould it though? He doesn’t strike me as a player that would come in and start from day one. If it’s a loan, I’m open to that but not much on a permanent because for whatever reason, he’s not trusted in the Prem.
He was made Sunderland captain last season at a young age. Partly due to his association with them but its surely a good sign having players like that at the club. He doesnt necessarily need to start though. We have a few midfield options already just 2 of them have had injury issues and Allen will be gone at the end of the season regardless of division.Would it though? He’s undeniably a good player, but I’m less sold on whether or not it’s a good fit for both parties. If he’s a DM/CM, is he starting ahead of Torp or Grimes? If not, is he happy to be a rotation option? He was made Sunderland captain last season at a young age. I agree, kind of transfer that's not massively exciting but could be a really useful addition to help us get through.Even though he looks like he uses disposable vapes and wears vests all year round, I think Dan Neil would be a really good signing.

Grimes is the position we can not adequately fill if he is missing. Nobody will come on loan for that position. If we can get him permanently then its a more than decent signing. He’s undeniably a good player, but I’m less sold on whether or not it’s a good fit for both parties. I think if you’re seeing a game out and want to rest Grimes, then bringing Dan Neil on for the latter part of a game or bringing one of the more attacking mids (Torp / Rudoni) off for him, would be an excellent option.

If he backs himself he may well think he can be first choice. Currently got next to no minutes at Sunderland anyway. That may be true but again why would a player who captained a promotion winning side want to come and be 3rd choice here?
It doesn’t pass the sniff test imo.

Youre famous!!
what is the source and what are the sites? there's someone on here that says he has a source who says it is very differentThere are several sites, probably all with a common source, saying the same.

Don't know what the agreement with is with Bassette. Was it an obligation or choose to buy. Doesn't look as if he is pulling up any trees. May be back with us whether we want him back or not.We need a striker that’s different to what we have. BTA and Haji are injury prone leaving us just with Simms. We need a 4th striker. Too much of a risk for the 2nd half of the season.
We literally had no forwards on the bench recently because two were injured and one had a concussion protocol.
That is unsustainable in a team chasing promotion.
Only two forwards started the game, too, for context.
Saddos R Us. They should form a sub group and discuss how it has all gone wrong every time we win a match. This forum has always had a very vocal minority of people who feast on negativity as well as people who just enjoy being contrarian. Hilarious how little it takes for them all to surface for air again. I just know what it'll be like on here if we do get to them Prem and we are losing more often than not.

A Grimes level signing with a similar impact would really be welcome. What I am interested in is this mantra we need more squad depth?
Do people mean we need more players in the Squad?
Do they mean they want better players in the squad?
The current squad isn't perfect, but no squad is. We are where we are because of them.
