I'm surprised Grendel hasn't rubbed in that I used to defend Palmer on here. Quite diplomatic of him tbf!
£12.5k.... they wish.Bring him home 🫣
After Tatsu, I was really thinking we should be buying into the Japanese market. Then, someone on here pointed out how it would harm our defence having so many small players. Shame. Some slightly more realistic J League prospects:

Wonder how that works out with fatigue? Torp took a while to get going. Not sure if his season had ended or it was their Winter break. Most of mls players would be available come Jan time due to season being over. Followed d perieria from austin fc since we had "interest" in him summer time. Just followed his ratings on fotmob since he has constantly been a 7 or above when his played. Be a good aquastion into the midfield
these guys are MF/CF's, not affecting our defence/ Quick lively ball players in CM, very niiiiceAfter Tatsu, I was really thinking we should be buying into the Japanese market. Then, someone on here pointed out how it would harm our defence having so many small players. Shame.
I hate to say it but fair play to Sunderland they are coping well and I expect them to survive comfortably. Living in Teesside I have actually come to disliking Middlesbrough more than anyone. It's down to working with mainly Boro fans and the stick my daughter gets at school even though Cov have had the upper hand for a while. Anyone upsets my children they become the No.1 target. Let's hope it continues on the 25th of November.I agree, i'm actually enjoying Sunderland doing well which i didn't think i'd ever say. Also agree that the strategy should stay the same but obviously at a higher level.
We have everyone back to defend corners and free kicks. We often put JDS, Tatsu and Allen on the periphery with the rest to contest the first header. You stick more players, who are not brilliant in the air into the mix, and it will weaken our clearance on first balls. The classic case was where Torp lost his player against Sheff U.these guys are MF/CF's, not affecting our defence/ Quick lively ball players in CM, very niiiice
Suzuki and Hosoya are 5’11, they’re hardly midgets. After Tatsu, I was really thinking we should be buying into the Japanese market. Then, someone on here pointed out how it would harm our defence having so many small players. Shame.
Hosoya had a really good 2023 season but has stalled out since then. Now 24yo and looking like a very average J-League striker.Mao Hosoya is meant to be a top prospect
It is good that we now do a full, in-depth check on a player's personality to make sure they will fit the dynamic outside of games. Bassette is the only one that comes to mind that may have been somewhat disruptive.Im generally happy with the recruiting that's been going on at the club for a few years now. I don't expect all signings will pay off or turn out great bits of business. I also don't expect my opinion on certain signings to turn out correct.
What i do expect is that the club invest in players they believe can take us forward. And for each and every player to wear the shirt with pride. Its great to see names being mentioned and i dint care if they are realistic or a pipe dream . I mean it wasn't that long ago we were looking at the best free agents and even then some were so called unrealistic. Im sure we will see the door open soon with new faces and a few old faces say goodbye. But keep the name's coming it makes it worth reading.
Watford will only sell him in a January window if they receive a massive bid that we are unlikely to be able to make.I reckon Imran Louza would be a Grimes-esque signing. He can play PL football, would be the perfect CM to have in rotation with Torp and Rudoni, he could also fill in for Grimes if the worst happened and Grimes got injured, he dictates games and would take us to another level
If he’s all we permanently sign its doable, I’d take him and 1 or 2 loans to push us overWatford will only sell him in a January window if they receive a massive bid that we are unlikely to be able to make.
Watford paid almost £10m for him originally and he's apparently on £30k a week - I don't think he's a realistic target in JanuaryIf he’s all we permanently sign its doable, I’d take him and 1 or 2 loans to push us over
it's not really doable, they'll be lots of interest and they'll not want to sell so it could even more than the 8 figure fee they paid for him which we are not doingIf he’s all we permanently sign its doable, I’d take him and 1 or 2 loans to push us over
Seems like there will be a lot of interest but it's in his best interests to stay living outside the UK and IrelandWe should be looking at Troy Parrot in next transfer window. Should compliment current forwards
Said before, but Dan Neil from Sunderland would be much cheaper and no less effective.I reckon Imran Louza would be a Grimes-esque signing. We didn't sign Sakamoto from the Japanese market, he was playing for a team in Belgium when we scouted him. After Tatsu, I was really thinking we should be buying into the Japanese market. Then, someone on here pointed out how it would harm our defence having so many small players. Shame.
Dan Neill is nowhere near Louza in terms of ability imho.Said before, but Dan Neil from Sunderland would be much cheaper and no less effective.
Money talks but we surely don’t have enough for that. Why would Watford sell Louza? Surely not in their interest at this stage
I have a mate who lives in Dublin ,even he mentioned the dubious Parrott family ties.Seems like there will be a lot of interest but it's in his best interests to stay living outside the UK and Ireland
Which are to what ...?I have a mate who lives in Dublin ,even he mentioned the dubious Parrott family ties.

Absolutely agree with his ability. PL class already.I reckon Imran Louza would be a Grimes-esque signing. He can play PL football, would be the perfect CM to have in rotation with Torp and Rudoni, he could also fill in for Grimes if the worst happened and Grimes got injured, he dictates games and would take us to another level

Any player signed we make now needs to consider the fact that we will probably get promoted this year. I don't think there are many players in the J-League who can come in and start for us on Day 1.
