No one is arguing it isn’t … try to keep up.
Some have tried to argue incorrectly that spending today doesn’t impact tomorrow , but no one has suggested we shouldn’t invest this window
Thank Christ you don’t manage our finances !
What?

Unless we buy Dan Neil for 50 million or somethingI don’t think a signing this window wioukd result in a £105 million trading loss in the next 3 years
We have a fully fit squad until theres injuries again lol.Oh my God, what's happened to this feed, why is it full of complete wet wipes thinking that it's Championship manager? Just say we spend big on a CDM who does he replace?
The lads have been absolutely incredible to get us in to this position, we have a fully fit squad and got two wingers in that will make all of the difference... Honest to God some of you need to go back to supporting Man U or better still go take your faces for a big shite
I used to have lots of different bars I liked equally...but then came along ...the Yorkie Raisin and Biscuit.Agree on Blue Riband, Tunnocks Caramel Wafers are a bit the same.
18 months ago when we were bottom half of the table. He bought in the difference between a mid-table finish and a push/chance the the play-offs. He was a completely different signing at a completely different time in a completely different phase. He cost £4m or around that with no assurances on promotion?

Im absolutely not against signing players, im also not against signing "players for the future". In fact, if on promotion a chance to sign Esse came about, I think we should be all over it. Same goes with Rushworth. And neither of them are proven in the PL. I dont think Dan Neil fits that description though. If given the chance of Neil for £2m or going back to the bank for a loan to get a Hamer or a Louza for £10? Id be on the steps of the bank at 9am tomorrow, cap in hand, begging for another £8m.

Potato - tomato. You know what I mean.it was 12 months ago he signed last January
All that said though, if FL thinks Neil adds what we need, and thinks hes worth signing, then im all for it. Especially as we know how much extra he gets out of the midfielders.18 months ago when we were bottom half of the table. Esse in 67m had 5 successful dribbles v Leicester… Sakamoto has had 12 all season.I'd argue it's not obvious yet from his performances for us. If Tats were the same age he'd be worth at least the same. Can only assume Tatsu wasn't as good when he was 20.
Hi SBTOh my God, what's happened to this feed, why is it full of complete wet wipes thinking that it's Championship manager? Just say we spend big on a CDM who does he replace?

Poor Tats, you couldn't spell his first or surname correctlyEsse in 67m had 5 successful dribbles v Leicester… Sakamoto has had 12 all season.
Esse’s per 90m stats are already off the charts and yes, it’s only been 2 games but the player is already a top end Championship player.
Tate would not be a £15m player because in all statistical categories, he’s mostly just above average. By contrast, Esse is a top dribbler, chance creator who could defend v well for a winger. Hence Palace paid what they did.
That doesn’t demean Sakmoto, being a good jack of all trades is decent but let’s not pretend he’s on the same level as Esse or even EMC.
he isn’t SBT and has no other accountIt's very obvious. Starve him of attention and the other one comes after you instead. Argue back and the other one the jumps in, even when it goes against the whole of the rest of the forum. Best to just ignore it. You should also keep up with your trolling rehabilitation though!
At this stage it would be silly not to sign better players if we can. Other teams around us are getting stronger and the lack of depth due to injuries and illness coincided with us dropping off a bit, and that gap closing. We really are in a fantastic position, but there's still many games to go. There are obviously good players out there avaliable, and would make us better. Doug shouldn't spare the change to bring one or two of them in.
It is true that we should wait until the window is closed before having a meltdown though. As others have said, things often come together in the closing days. I have a feeling we'll be alright.
Not per se disagreeing but the boys on the NTTT podcast suggested that though he’s a good player for the champ that Palace had signed for potential, rather than him being one of the stand out players in the division.Esse in 67m had 5 successful dribbles v Leicester… Sakamoto has had 12 all season.

Me: 7 pages in 12 hours? Something must’ve happened!
Me after reading all 7 pages: I hate it here
Waiting for someone to say they like their chocolate like they like their threads on here. But what is your favourite chocolate?
Anyone who has seen Esse play for us will have seen how good he is. He has terrorised defences, hit the post and scored a goal. If that isn't enough in a couple of games he has also been very good in defence.Esse in 67m had 5 successful dribbles v Leicester… Sakamoto has had 12 all season.

Exactly, some completely clueless suggestions on here.Oh my God, what's happened to this feed, why is it full of complete wet wipes thinking that it's Championship manager? Just say we spend big on a CDM who does he replace?

Rudoni in Grimes' position is superb!Exactly, some completely clueless suggestions on here.
The fact is, our squad is stronger now than its been all season. We recruited exactly what we needed, in fact one of the new additions has yet to make a league start!
We dont need anyone else, if Grimes misses games then Eccles can drop in there or even Rudoni can fill in and that allows BTA to play as a 10. We dont need to spend millions on a player who may or may not cover for a couple of games.
Too many football manager players on here.
Exactly, Frank will make him a great DM if the situation requires it.Rudoni in Grimes' position is superb!
