Hamer in Jan, Vik in the summer. Who says no?I heard we're looking at bringing back Hamer. Lampard wants to finally lose the fat Frank tag.
Not sure I understand this comment. Didn't Grimes come in 2025? I don't think anyone can dispute the business model has changed with the appointment of Lampard - coincidentally or not.Again. We started going after grimes in 2023. People need to stop making up narratives.
Who does Arellano play for?Yep damn straight
2-3 top players would be Arellano oops excellent what is Arellano?

I don’t think it’s that simple though. The recruitment team would have placed Grimes top of the list. Robins would have been given a list and selected the players he wants. I don’t doubt that Robins would have been all over Grimes if he was available.Again. We started going after grimes in 2023. People need to stop making up narratives.
Probably give him a miss now then, but it does show how far and wide we search to find the best talent. And I was right to say we need to be looking at a winger.Jesús Arellano - Wikipedia Jesús Arellano - Wikipedia
Looks like he was a decent player in his day but he's 52 and a wanted fugitive now.

Great idea let’s sell one of our best players midway through a promotion challenge! If Leeds want to give us £15m for Wright I'd take it, add another £5m and buy a striker who would cut it next year.
I know I'm in a minority not rating Haji that highly. I'm not saying he's shit. I'm not a racist. I just don't rate him as much as some of you.
Imagine if some of these people were part of our recruitment teamGreat idea let’s sell one of our best players midway through a promotion challenge!
Ben Wilson, Matty James and Biamou leading us to the Prem.Imagine if some of these people were part of our recruitment team
Do you think Sunderland really got value from that? Their form after his signing was terribleWe need Le Fee type signing

We need quality over quantity, I'd suggest 1 winger who can play on either wing.
And possibly a CM who can cover Grimes but also play in front of him when both are fit.

I remember Saddlebrains had inside info on the bid for Grimes and without naming him came on here expressing astonishment that that waw what the Club was now doing.
He was a very overhyped signing vs what he delivered, no doubt.Do you think Sunderland really got value from that? Their form after his signing was terrible
That's the Kieffer Moore type that he's referring to.
We need a cover for Rudoni desperately. Could be a winger who can play there or an 8 who can. But someone who isn’t a DM or a striker.
Versatility is really what we need rather than stacking the squad with bodies.
I think we'll definitely look at, at least one winger that can probably play one or more roles - i.e. LW/RW and possibly AM.
Ideally I'd like another midfielder as well, as it's the area where I feel we can be left most short as Eccles and Torp have a tendency of breaking down quite easily.
We're a bit short at LB with Brau seemingly not at all trusted to deputise and Bidwell being well past his sell by date but I assume that will just be left as is.
They do and neither Eccles nor Allen is a goal threat or really an assist threat like Torp and Rudi are. We have five CMs but three of them are defensive or at least not attacking really. Just two or three of the right players would allow five or six to be rested/covered
That's a Leicester signing all over that one, just feels a perfect matchJesús Arellano - Wikipedia Jesús Arellano - Wikipedia

I agree it's an area we could have more depth in, but with everything considered I would not say desperately. We need a cover for Rudoni desperately. Could be a winger who can play there or an 8 who can. But someone who isn’t a DM or a striker.
You’d of thought so,top of the league chance of going up,you’d think we’d be able to get who we want ( wages allowing )Just had a wave of excitement - Doug and Frank will surely be looking only to improve significantly in Jan. A promotion push window - could be incredible when considering some of the ambitious scale of bids we apparently made previously.
4-2-3-1 is needed imo, we are starting to miss Rudoni because and both BTA’s red hot form is cooling down. Frankly, I’d start Simms v WBA and he deserves a crack of the whip after a strong performance v Pompey and getting an assist yesterday. We need a cover for Rudoni desperately. I agree with this, i don't think we'll see too many additions, perhaps just a couple of good quality ones.Almost at the point of not bringing too many in to mess with the squad
However a real opportunity to bring in 2-3 very very good players
I can’t stop thinking about Bristol city’s mehmeti out of contact in the summerI agree with this, i don't think we'll see too many additions, perhaps just a couple of good quality ones.
The point about them not messing with the squad too much is a good one, because these are a good group of boys, who are very close knit and get on really well together.
So whoever they bring in will have to have the right character. I saw an interview with Lampard where he talked about this (can't remember when it was), but he specifically said about not wanting to disrupt that. I think he is big on low maintenance players who don't give him any bother and want to learn and be coached. No room for big egos.
Dont forget Biamou’s strike partner Kyle HudlinBen Wilson, Matty James and Biamou leading us to the Prem.
Do you think that sometimes Wright and BTA hinder each other? It's a discussion that was being had around me during the Sheff Utd game and i've been thinking about it since.4-2-3-1 is needed imo, we are starting to miss Rudoni because and both BTA’s red hot form is cooling down. It’s a difficult ask because Haji and BTA teamed up well v Sheff U but both pretty anonymous v Wrexham and Stoke. Perhaps away from home we lean on Simms more where we’re more direct?
Wright is such an easy targetDo you think that sometimes Wright and BTA hinder each other? It's a discussion that was being had around me during the Sheff Utd game and i've been thinking about it since.
I think early on it wasn't a problem when we had Rudoni in the 10 and BTA was covering injuries out wide. Thinking about recent performances though, i already have the opinion that Wright misses Rudi in behind in, but perhaps they both tend to gravitate to the same areas naturally and end up getting under each others feet in a way.
It's a difficult but good dilemma for Lampard to have when Rudoni comes back to full fitness.
Wright, BTA and Simms are 3 very different types of forwards and shouldn't be compared or pit against one another. We want them all hungry and playing well when they feature as this is what we'll need to get through a long season.
I think Wright should always start as he is capable of turning a game in a moment and is our main man, but with him missing Rudi, perhaps Simms could have come on earlier a couple of times, especially when we are away from home at least.
I didn't know he was out of contract. Interesting. A proven Championship player is always a good purchase in my eyes, even if just to see us through to (hopefully) promotion. Grimes was the perfect buy.I can’t stop thinking about Bristol city’s mehmeti out of contact in the summer
Really exciting player I reckon he’d be excellent
Can play on the Left too so would be a great pickup as BTA looks better on the Right than Left imoI can’t stop thinking about Bristol city’s mehmeti out of contact in the summer

He is, and they all have been in recent times.Wright is such an easy target
