I agree with your comments about fielding a weakened team - but don't forget we have an owner who will see the financial benefits of a cup run!

Then I think he needs overriding on this matter,in fact I think that would be him signing his own death warrant.

Because we never lost to the others at Wembley, as gut wrenching as that day was if we had been relegated the next season it counts for nothing , where an fa cup win lasts for ever ., it’s just my opinion,we don’t celebrate 1967 as our biggest achievement but we do do with 1987

But it's a completely different landscape now and we need a slice of the Prem pie to secure the future of the club.
We cannot allow the FA cup to jeopardize that.

Knowing our luck..this is the year we will pull out a massive team home or away.

Just mark my words.

We will get Liverpool at home and just have to put out first team and do them!!

Not sure we'd need the first team for that.

As has been said the premier league offers huge long term financial benefits where as an FA Cup doesnt. Pre 1992 the cup mattered but sadly it doesnt anymore.

How many points clear (of 3rd) would we need to be - for us to take the FA Cup seriously?

If we're 20 points clear and have new additions to the squad lined-up?!

Personally - I think December will be tough and we'll be handful clear of Ipswich and few more clear of someone else. If that happens - then we play the kids

However, if we beat the tractor boys home & away, smash everyone else and we're on 60pts+ on 3rd round day - then we should probably give it a go!

If that’s the case we can rest players in the league to be fresh for the cup

Screw the Cup this year unless we have already tanked in the league by round 4

Probably end up getting drawn Millwall or somebody.

Depends on squad fitness, who we draw and who we buy in January. Reckon Wilson or Dovin if fit are the only certain starters.

Surely it depends on the draw? Manchester utd at home on TV we play our best avaliable team, dog and duck away on a ploughed pitch we play the the most competent reserve team we can put out?

Only team to ever get promoted from 2nd tier and win the FA Cup were the Baggies in 1931- finished 2nd in Div 2 that year.

Judging from Monday... we may only need 9/10 men against them.

We probably won’t be seeing them again for a while after this season so best make the most of it.

Normally annoys me when people want to field a weaker team in the cup but couldn’t give a fuck this year. Need to give a lot of players minutes and can’t risk any injuries at all to the starting lineup.

Wilson
KKH Lati Wolf Bidwell
Andrews Eccles Allen
Hilsner Maguire Brau
