well, judging by the ST sales it won't affect the gates much.

You would hope that half will be away, those that aren’t will have more chance of still being weekend, so not as bad as last season

All tv matches up to January will be announced on Wednesday

  • Sky Sports and the EFL will make good on a landmark new commitment for clubs and fans which will provide longer notice periods on TV selections.
  • The notice periods for selections are as follows:
    • Within seven days of the 2024/25 Fixture Release selections shall be made in respect of all matches to be played before the end of September.
    • Before the start of the season, selections shall be made in respect of all matches scheduled to be played prior to the end of the third round of the FA Cup (January 2025).
    • By November 1, selections shall be made in respect of all matches to be played between the end of the third round proper of the FA Cup and the first weekend of March.
    • Selections for matches scheduled after the first weekend in March will be made on a four-week rolling basis starting from February 1 (e.g. a selection for the first weekend in April will be selected in the first weekend in March).
  • This is almost six month’s notice provided to fans and Clubs, a significant increase on the current deal, which sees five weeks' notice given across the majority of the season.
  • By selecting TV picks early and giving much more notice, fans will be able to plan with certainty when making travel and hotel arrangements.

Hold on, so all they're saying is by the 3rd of July they'll have made their EFL live fixture selections for matches up until the end of September? And so theoretically none of the fixtures being released on Wednesday are guaranteed to take place on the date/time stated?

This is from the EFL Q&A page explaining how the new deal would work, that was brought out when Sky Sports+ launched in May, so
I'm presuming from that it's the most up to date info.

Mate of mine was at the crisp bowl last week for the ‘reveal’ the fixtures flashed up at 8:00 on the screen in error and Steve Walsh or whoever quickly turned if a off and told them not to text anyone as they could get into bother with the PL but he said he saw Man City as the 1st game before they turned it off.
I’m pretty sure the club will have them now
