Forget the lost ratio, we've 'not lost' in over half of our games.

I'm not saying he has a great record by the way.

^^^ That is some bleak shit right there folks ^^^

If he gets no reaction in the next game.....then he should do the honourable thing & resign.

Honestly, if he was to be sacked now, would we improve? The squad isn't good enough whether that's his fault or not.

We're truly screwed, that same form sent us down to League One under Thorne too.

Deja Vu all over again.

I understand what you are saying , but you are also saying no other manager could do a better job , which is silly

Ultimately SISU employed him so you have to question that. I would definitely sack him as they should take the responsibility for employing a poor manager for a club this size. Too inexperienced and the record speaks for itself - current trajectory is League 2 . The term 'you get what you pay for' would definitely apply!

What the club have to work out is what it will cost to be relegated compared to the cost of paying him off , ultimately though i think he is here to stay wether we stay up or not

Yea but SISU didn't let him buy Messi and Ronaldo in the transfer window so what's he supposed to do?

Does make you think that they (SISU) can continue with this doomed project for quite a few more years if they decide to stick by Pressley - they have no ambition from a football point of view - but there isn't much of the family silver left to pawn so I'm not sure why they don't get out especially as in league 2 we will be hard pushed to get 5,000 to attend. I am no expert but why wouldn't they just liquidate the thing sooner rather than later and post the losses elsewhere? I'm sure OSB has more knowledge within this area? Any thoughts?

I don't think we can afford anyone who can do better.

There is always hope. Turning things around can take time, others have been here before us....

"When Shankly arrived at Anfield on Monday, 14 December 1959, Liverpool had been in the Second Division for five years, and had been defeated by non-league Worcester City in the 1958–59 FA Cup.[80] Anfield itself was in disrepair with no means of watering the pitch and Shankly insisted the club spend £3,000 to rectify that.[81] Shankly described the training ground at Melwood as "a shambles".[82] The Liverpool squad he inherited consisted largely of average players and some promising reserves.[82]"

Its like in Back to the Future 2 where Marty goes back to 1985 to find the place in ruins - very akin to watching the Coventry City saga play out on and off the pitch these days. Although I would prefer to be owned by Biff Tannen than SISU.

OK then we've been here before - WHO indeed would be our preferred choice from those currently available ??

Who thought Sillett would win us the FA Cup?
who thought Shankley would set Liverpool up as a European force?
Manchester United fans thought Ferguson wasn't good enough because he had only managed the likes of St Mirren and Aberdeen (despite European success)?
Who thought Brian Clough would transform a mid table 2 side into League Champions and European Champions?

Success is unearthed from the most unlikely places.

True but all of those were blessed with owners that believed and understood that success on the pitch needed investment in players, facilities and the fans. Without that belief and support no manager stands a cat in hell's chance of achieving success.

i like SP

he.s a CCFC through and though..i liked the way he handled himself in exile and how he was clearly moved coming back home. he.s played for us and now manages us.

i think this is why we give him a little more berth and why i have been happy with him over the last few years.

i have also thought that we should give him at least 10 games into the start of the season before we can judge on our performances and hopefully see improvement in the team as they gel and learn to play in SP's way.

unfortunately its not working , its like watching Liverpool from last year to this. our pressing game has gone, and everything else with it.

many teams are selling teams, and we have always been one. buying in poor replacements for quality players, only to turn out rough diamonds into smooth , and we clearly have done the same with young callum, and sometimes you cant see the smooth for a while, so im hoping we have a few somewhere

as for SP .. this is fucking shit right now, but sacking him ? lets give him a full season back in cov, and see where we are ?

it could be worse...

we could still be in sixfields !!!

But he wont make it better so should go. SP cant spot talent at all and the sooner we get a manager who can the sooner we will win games.

Some say that he has "lost the dressing room", what the heck does that mean? I cannot imagine that he has upset the players; Shitzu yes. So maybe it is the owners that they don't want to play for???? and who can blame them for that. It was undoubtedly the owners that wanted rid of Callum, Murphy, Baker and Moussa which would have upset the senior pros.
