The fixtures are released tomorrow, so who does everyone want for the key dates?

First game?
Boxing Day
New Year
Bank Holiday Easter
Last Game

For me I'd love a new away day for one of the Christmas games!

I can't wait to visit Crawley, and having relatives a mile from the ground, I'd like to hope its on a Saturday so we can make a weekend of it.

Every fixture is an embarrassing, depressing nightmare in League 1. I can't bring myself to even look at last year's table to see who's in the division.

God how depressing is this? Still can't believe were playing the likes of Crawley and Shrewsbury next season. Why the hell did I buy a season ticket? I'm not looking forward to any games in this shitty league to be honest.

Leeds, both Sheffield clubs, Norwich, forest all 3 Birmingham based teams have been there so what gives us the right of exclusion?

Not only that - but losing to them week in week out will make it even worse.

Doesn't make it any better though does it - and at least they attempted to come back up; whereas we need to be 'realistic' according to Tim Fisher.

Yeah - how unrealistic to expect to beat teams like Shrewsbury.

Very few of them managed it first time though. So perhaps they were being realistic. Their supporters stayed with them ad well, as will portsmouths no doubt.

However KD. I do think in defence of Dan, this should not be a one way street. Those loyal 5200, now deserve some pay back. The was they have been treated is nothing short of dismally.

I can't imagine Norwich treated their fans like this. Hence the loyalty in return.

A curious set of analogies. At least I would be on the front line not sitting at home listening on the radio and complaining on Internet sites about the strategy of the generals.

Yes they are getting treated a bad as Coventry, however I think their ownership situation is in a worse state than us and yet they are still probably receiving more information.

How many season tickets have they sold?

Members of the Supporters Conference will be consulted by the club before the new prices are set.

While the future of the club remains uncertain, income from season ticket sales will be ring-fenced in a trust bank account controlled by the administrators, ensuring supporters’ monies are protected.

Example of treating their supporters fairly

That's nothing to do with ownership but a fact of being in administration.

agree

Agreed macca.

This thread is really interesting as it sums up how far we have fallen.

This was a question we used to ask ourselves in the Premier and Championship...would it be Man U/Liverpool, or in recent years would it be Blues/Le*cester/Wolves etc...

Now, we have the prospect of Sheff U and Walsall being our 'biggest' games.

I said on the radio that it would sink in when the fixtures came out...get ready for Black Monday for all CCFC fans...

You are my kind of bloke, Dongy, by describing Carlisle as a nice night out!

You need to travel away with the Leamington & Warwick lads with that kind of expectation for a night out!

Wonder how many people that are whining about playing the likes of "Shrewsbury" will still be whining if we win a few games convincingly and sit near the top of the table. Obviously may not happen but if we do get some decent results I bet all will be forgotten and people will enjoy watching us again. Personal opinion of course before the keyboard warrior types attempt to shoot me down

Not shooting you down pal, but there is nothing to suggest that would happen.

In a wierd way, I was looking fwd to a change after i got over the dissapointment of us dropping to the championship, and i really enjoyed the 1st game against Stockport, with the "we are gonna have a hell of a season" feeling I left with that day. Obviously that didnt happen, but i am nowhere near as optomistic this season

There are some handy teams in this league, and all have the height and stregth to bully our kids, and it could do some real damage.

I hope your right though

Being realistic at the moment is having last seasons kids as our senior players and our latest academy kids as our new kids........oh and struggling to name a full bench of substitutes, Having players like Hussey, Bell , McPake, Baker and McSheffrey who are all very susceptible to injury. Its not the League we are now in, neither the opposition that we play that are the problem its our vile fucking owners who are dismantling the club before our very eyes !!

Don't try and ruin the Carlisle dream, it will be a perfect spring weekend, so we get a good look at the tattoo'd legs in shorts skirts
