His thinking is, that's what it would cost us if we failed to get promoted as a consequence of selling him.

I can see them testing King's resolve with a £195m bid.

I'd take less, but it wouldn't include the free shoulder carry

£200m to defend like he did against Preston for their goal is a bargain. Seriously, he is priceless to us at this stage. Doug has probably quoted a figure of what we would lose out on from not getting promoted without him

It’d be insane to sell him at this stage.

He won’t be sold in this window unless it’s a ludicrous figure.
he won’t want to go. Even if he is entirely money driven, he knows that if we get promoted he can command a much higher salary

On tonight's performance 12 million would be generous.

Why would you sell anyone right now? Wright has routinely shown he has what it takes at this level, no amount of toys being thrown out of the pram changes that.

Not normally one to say things like this about a player as I understand they have ups and downs but…. sell him and sell him right now.

Doesn’t defend. Isn’t really pressing at the minute. Doesn’t win any headers. Doesn’t even make an attempt to move into a position under a ball that’s coming in from height. Doesn’t make any attempts to intercept balls coming into his area. Occasionally makes half ar*ed attempts to chase a ball then gives up.

What does he actually do well other than walking round looking moody ?

Lazy lazy lazy.

I’ve been a staunch defender of Wright but I’m done with him. Known it would be madness to sell him now but be so hard to turn down £20m if an offer came in and we had a great replacement.

Anyone spot him half arse a clearance, not follow up the player about 25 yards about to shoot, then seeemed to turn and have a go at someone else. Like wtf.

Quite clearly told not to be stupid and press tonight, I feel even lampard alluded to this post game - however large sections of the crowd on his back?
Agree his form hasn’t been that great recently, but that can be the case with a couple of players.

Been saying it for months, the bloke is stealing a living. No goals in weeks on end. When the going gets tough haji gets gone. I’m sure the snowflakes on here will argue for him again.

A lot of this is knee jerk! Wright was on a hiding to nothing last night. The service to him was none existent and the ploy of him not closing down the keeper was clearly tactical rather than a matter of him simply being lazy. Unless we got a ridiculous offer we would be stupid to sell. He is probably lacking a little confidence right now and needs a goal, but if he stays I would still expect him to end up close to 20 goals come the end of the season.

I'm a fan of Haji, I thought he had one of his better games. We were up against a quality team who had equal quality on the bench. For me its Rudoni who is playing to far advanced is the problem, crowding out Hajis space and leaving no options for him.
