mowbray track record with midfeilders seems pretty good

valero, brunt, morrison(think was TM buy but not sure) at wba were great, some of them still around today. DIdnt boro fans say their current playoff final reaching team is mostly mowbrays?

our days of shite signings may be over

Vale have offered him reduced terms (half of what he wants basically) and he has been in contact with Donny, there is some talk of Vale renegotiating too. Speaking to Vale fans they seem to be in agreement that he hasn't been the same since coming back from a long injury lay-off. That plus the fact he's pushing 30, I feel he is best left alone.

Yeah they're about as good as it gets in terms of radio. Lovely guys too, didn't go all big time when everyone wanted photos after the show.

Every team needs a 20 goal a season striker. Next he'll be saying we need a goalkeeper who can keep clean sheets.

Working on the basis that these players remain in the first team, the vacant positions are where we need to strengthen:

New GK

Aaron Phillips
New CB
Reda Johnson
New LB

JOB
New CM
John Fleck
New LM

James Maddison (As CAM or second striker)
New ST

Squad players:
Lee Burge/RCC
Ryan Haynes
Jordan Willis
Aaron Martin
Danny Swanson
Frank Nouble
Marcus Tudgay

Fuck off list:
Danny Pugh (Not played, but can't be relying on injury prone OAPs)
Andy Webster
Conor Thomas
Adam Barton
Blair Turgott (Hasn't played, so I assume TM doesn't fancy him)
Jack Finch
Simeon Jackson
Shaun Miller

That's a lot of cash sat on the bench - Nouble, Tudguy and Swanson will be 3 of the highest earners in the squad.

As much as he is a prick Leon Clarke is 1 of the 2 20 goal a season strikers and he is free

"Hey Leon's agent, can he come and play for us? - oh, so you want higher wages 'cos we're not paying a transfer fee................." Reality check

I'd add Martin Swanson and Nouble onto the bottom list.

Yeah, was at Houston for a season or two I think. Seemed to disappear off the radar so not sure if he's still decent or not. I'd be happy with Dominic Samuel and Leon Clarke, think they would work well.

Just released by Aberdeen struggled a bit with injury so would have fitted in well to the previous managers plans

Jermaine Beckford has been released by Bolton. Surely going to be a PNE player if they go up but if they don't could be a decent addition my worry is his wages might be too much for us but still worth a punt

What I like most about this article is the picture of Adil Nabi at West Brom. In the 70s West Brown was the first club to start black players and from that photo it looks like they now have Asian players coming through. Britain has a huge untapped population from second and third generation Asian players. I'd love it if they started appearing more in the first team across the country.

I would love it if they could play not just as a political gesture

He's played 70 times for West Brom under 21s and you believe that they only picked him as a political gesture? You are deluded.
