Members of Coventry City's 1987 FA Cup winning side will take on Tottenham Hotspur again in a charity match.

A City legends side will take on a Spurs legend side managed by Tony Galvin at Bedworth United's Oval Ground on Sunday July 10th at 2pm.

David Busst is co-ordinating the City which will play for the WaterAid charity of which Cyrille Regis is an Ambassador whilst Spurs will play for MacMillan Cancer Support.
The night before the game, there will be a charity dinner at Coventry City's Ricoh Arena home.

The dinner costs £500 per table of ten and anyone interested in attending should contact Andrew Gilroy at andrew@gilroy48.freeserve.co.uk

Sponsors are also being sought for the City team and packages which include a table for ten at the dinner, ten tickets for the match and a full page advert in the programme are available for £2500 by emailing Mr Gilroy at the above email address.

Excellent news I will definitely go to this if I'm around and looking forward to it.

I can't see many takers for the £2,500 though despite being for excellent charities. Unless I've misunderstood that's £50 each for an overpriced dinner you might just go to in the aid of a good cause. But even with 10 x £50+ 10 x £10 likely entrance fees, that means £1,900 for an advert in a programme that will be seen by barely anyone. I think I read they are doing full-page in the next home game against Scunthorpe for about £300. Who on earth is pricing these things up? - they should be sacked immediately!
