18k or 15k at The Butts? (1 Viewer)

When we were in discussions with Rugby Council it was for an 18k Stadium that can increase in capacity. Now we are discussing what I would argue will be a more popular location, which will attract more fans. Yet the capacity will now be 15k.
Should we go for 18k or stick with 15k?

I would imagine with everybody saying haw difficult the Ricoh is to get to and how many say they hate it we would probably need 25000 wouldn't you?

Well considering Highfield road was 23k anything less is a step backwards to 15 years ago. Saying that we are in a league or 2 lower now though.

Not the point though we should be aiming for minimum championship football and the fact this is our 5th season in league 1 is a disgrace. Something went horribly wrong somewhere.

It's not the starting point that's the problem it's confirmation of the finish point.
Particularly at the BPA.
If it can't be expanded, as suggested, our aspirations are L1.

It's not if it can be expanded either, it's the time and cost of expanding.

While we are limited to 15,000 gates, we are missing out on vital revenue that could keep us in the championship or better.

I believe it's all about the revenues IIRC, so why would you miss out on another 5-10,000 paying customers if we had a good League 1 or a Championship season?

Give it a rest dongo. You're like a broken record. You think it should be 18k or above. You have made that point clear over and over and over again. Is the starting point not 15k because there is already outline planning permission for a stadium that big?

This is a very important time for fans to have their voices heard on this.
Tim Fisher started talking about 12k stadiums and due to pressure from the fans by the time he was talking to Rugby Council it was 18k.
If you want to accept a stadium too small for you ckub, that's your call but don't criticise me for trying to change that.
People from this forum will be attending the SCG and polls such as this can provide support for the vibes from the fan base.

No, when we have only reached 25k or over under 10 times since moving to the Ricoh.

18k for me until we get promoted to the Championship. Only expand if we become established.

Neither, 20k. By way is proposed max of 25k based on all seater? A safe standing area may increase capacity perhaps.
