I think beating Crewe is massive - If we get to wembley winning would be nice, but it is more about getting there

15 league games - I think we may need 29 points
8 wins - 5 draws - 2 defeats

All very achievable, but will need us to step up the effort another 20%

So for those supporters who are not regulars, but enjoying the JPT - get out of your armchairs, and from behind your radios and get up to as many games as you can afford

The players and manager deserve your support
It is exciting times
I have had more enjoyable games this season than for many years

8 home League games - get behind the team to win 6 of them, and we wont be far away

But if we can get behind them to turn our home fixtures into wins then we will be a lot closer than we think...

I fully believe we can get into the play-offs. Other teams may have games in hand, but remember, they still need to win those games. Nothing is guarenteed in football. Kepp the faith, bang in the goals and we'll be there

I can see us losing more than just 2 games to be honest.

9 wins, 3 draws, 4 defeats. Think that is doable.

That would give us a grand total of 30 points. 30 points would equate to us finishing on 77 points come the end of the season. That would surely get us into the play-offs.

To only lose 2 will be incredibly tough. Think we need to consider we may well lose 4. It will be therefore then about how many of the other games we can win.

I tend to agree - we will lose 4 or 5 of these - we have to turn the draws into Wins to make it

They don't need to up their effort by 20% at all. For the last three months we have averaged 2.12 points per game. To hit 29 points in the last 15 would require 1.93 points per game.

As I keep saying - just carry on as we have been and we will finish in the top 6.

Last 17 league games;

11 wins
3 draws
3 Losses

This hasn't been a flash in the pan, this has been sustained excellence since the end of October. Every, literally every, supposed promotion challenger we have faced since then have been beaten;

Crawley - beaten, Stevenage (who at the time were top 6) - beaten, Doncaster - beaten, Tranmere - beaten, MK Dons - beaten, Sheff U - beaten.

I haven't felt so positive about a Coventry side since the 2nd half of the 97/98 season when we only lost twice from before christmas.

As you said nothing is gaurenteed in Football so lets take it one match at a time and see where we are with 5 matches to go

If it comes down to last game of the season and we have to beat Notts County away to make the top 6 I will fancy our chances.

I think it is more about winning the games against the teams around us as each of them would be equivalent to 6 points. They are all must not lose games and at the moment we seem to turning draws into wins late on.

Its interesting but as we know sometimes the hardest games at the end of the season are against the teams scrapping for their lives at the bottom of the table. One game at a time, avoid any major injuries and keep everything crossed. We had a shocking start so 6th on goal difference would be amazing.

As Mattylad said, one game at a time, and I think Robins will approach it this way.

If our form continues we will be about 4th or 5th by the end of the season, we are averaging over 2 points per game ( championship winning form ) and gradually making up for our shortcomings under the previous regimes.

A few people are getting giddy from our inflated position due to the extra games, in truth we are about 9th. But some key games coming up which we must win, Yeovil on Sat is a much bigger game than tomorrow night.

I reckon 9 wins will almost certainly be enough.

I think it's very possible to go the season unbeaten from here on in. Yes there will be draws like Preston with more good away wins. Added to that I think will will remain unbeaten at home now. Again there may be a draw or two but unbeaten can be done. Those fancied teams like Tranmere and brentford have lost easily recently and the business end of the season is upon us. Squad quality and size will be a factor and so too will the spirit and confidence which we have just at the right time. beat Crewe tomorrow convincingly and I think the players will believe they can beat anyone in this league between now and the close.
Those that claim 3 or 4 defeats please tell me where they are coming from in your opinion?

I don't think football works like that! People wouldn't have said Carlisle or Shrewsbury if you'd asked at Christmas, but sometimes you don't get the results you should irregardless of form or what should happen on paper...

Exactly.

No idea where they will come but we all know we are capable of another Shrewsbury or Carlisle.

And sometimes you can lose to a bad decision, a penalty not given or a freakily deflected own goal or by the whisker of a post.

I would say 3 or 4 is definitely more likely or not. That in tandem with 9 wins though would be no problem.

I think Bournemouth and Swindon at the end of this month could be season defining

crewe will have alot to say about our season.but i also think.the yeovil game will be very hard as they are playing well and not conceding goals bit like crewe they dont concede many so tomorrow will be tight

Tough month were in. Play teams at the top, cup games and a team that will know us very well and hopefully be looking for revenge (and bury).

Come through this undefeated and ill start talking autos let alone playoffs!

Yeovil have hit some very good form. They've taken a striker from Carlisle that wasn't doing anything and turned him into a goal machine (much like we did with DM). They'll be hard to beat, but we can do it. We should go into every game thinking we can win.

You look at that and just hold both hands up to mark robins and bow down. The total mess we were in, and in hindsight that win against Birmingham didn't help in the slightest.

If you are predicting 3 or 4 defeats then you must have an idea as to where you are thinking they are going to happen or why say so?

I'm not saying we will go unbeaten for the rest of the season but saying there is a good looking possibility.

Oh but wait....How can I think that when there might be a width of a post or bad referee decision go against us or any such other incident?

Fact is regardless of the pros and cons and sitting on the fence like some I'm just saying it's possible regardless of the width of a post etc.

I can see walsall and bournemouth beating us but that's it. Walsall on a great run of from since we beat them and bournemouth seem unstoppable
