Makes zero sense to force an assistant manager on Robins that he doesn't want unless King really doesn't want Robins at the club.

Bit of a shambles really from sacking the assistant manager day before pre season, advertising for a new assistant manager and then deciding against it and then changing your mind again 3 months down the line and appointing an assistant the manager doesn't want.

King has really fucked this up

First impressions, he's a knowledgeable and well respected guy but not sure he has the drive, determination and intensity to drive training and coaching sessions days after day over a season.

Comes across as he's been happy in his back seat technical role at QPR for the last 8 years or however long it is.

Based on Uss last post. Robins met him yesterday and following that contracts have been discussed with Doug. Doesn’t sound like Robins didn’t want him. If anything sounds like Robins gave the all clear for contract discussions to start.

We're in an era where people are hiding at training grounds and flying drones to try and get the slightest bit of information. Not a huge leap to think it's known by other clubs that there's a leak and the team will be posted in advance week in week out.

Do I think we're losing games because of it, probably not, but anyone in sports will talk to you about small margins so personally I wouldn't take the slightest risk of giving the opposition an advantage.

Not to mention personal things have been leaked out on more than one occasion. Things that I'd imagine all the local media are aware of but have been asked not to report on yet people think it's fine to post on here. Everyone is entitled to privacy in their private lives.

Not about being a face. But about knowing what you’re walking into and the types of people you’ll be working with. Day to day management at a large club is very different to improving young players or making PowerPoints at the FA with no real pressure on results.

He's been at QPR who in his time were a premier league and then championship club and he was head coach for a bit in both leagues. Viveash had been with Chelsea's academy.

Yeah he has and that’s something. But it was one season where he didn’t do particularly well (got relegated then got sacked). Most of his experience is away from the first team though.

Thinking about it more though, looking at his history, it does point more to the criteria being focused on player development (or asset appreciation for Dougie) which I don't know whether we need any more of or not.

He was also Tottenham Hotpsurs first team coach before going to QPR to be an assistant manager and then manager. Seems to have more experience than Adi had. Let’s give him time

Yeah will give him time. Just mild concerns at the moment. I’d liked to have seen someone younger with a bit more of a record but if he’s the right character we won’t know until he gets stuck in. And we all hope it’ll work.

Viveash was on the training ground coaching every day though with the players in his academy role?

From what I can see Ramsey hasn't been a hands on coach since 2015?

That’s not what this role will want to do though. We have enough coaches leading training and supporting. The assistant job will be to manage the coaches and support mark with team talks and tactics.

If you wanted to be cynical then you could say it's a way of getting a new manager into the club and make any transition a bit more seamless...

However, I'm being positive and, assuming it is Ramsay, he is known as a coach, not a manager and I could see someone like that being brought in to take overall control of the coaching set-up.

it would make zero sense to be hiring an assistant if the assistant was going to take over, you’d just get rid of Robins abs put him in charge straight away.. and this guy’s record- while impressive in other roles- has nothing whatsoever in it to suggest he’d have any chance of doing any better than Robins

ITKs have always been a thing as far as I can remember in football. The clubs communication at times leads a lot to be desired in regards to changes at the club. Which leads for people to try and get information out. Take Adi, not one comment on why he went just that they restructured and out. Which they don’t owe sure but will cause speculation with his history with us.

The issue is even worse when the local paper don’t really seem to get any exclusive news out the club like other papers do.

Happy to agree that team sheets don’t help (although I’m guilty of asking), but think people need to remember if people want to post what they’ve heard and that is there choice, to always have a bit of skepticism to what beens said.

At the end of the day, people are human and have their own opinions whether that’s the source or the person writing. Take Saddle, either his source or him (not having a pop) have concerns with the current ownership and a lot of what they say comes from that lens.

Take it with a pinch of salt and avoid if you want. Although on that note, CCFC fans seemingly always get the pitchforks out these days at nearly everything ( Guilty of this as well)
