Glad they’ve realised the mistake in the new coaching set up nice and early and made a move to rectify it.

That's if you believe there was a restructure rather than just coming up with a genuine reason for the removal of AV

They did advertise for the assistant mangers job before announcing about a week later that they were going to go with the current set up instead. Hard to know if that was a genuine advertisement or not tbf.

Might just be that it hasn’t worked out as hoped. Think they looked for a number two but thought more is better.

Clearly is hasn’t worked but also wonder if Mark needs a bit of a break with everything going on in his personal and this is the club helping.

I was all excited when I seen AM then realised it was assistant manager and not an attacking midfielder

Wasn’t it Steve Taylor that used to be Robins assistant, I know he had an illness, but any chance it’s him returning?

He’s not worked in football since 2014/15 but whoever this is will need to be someone mark trusts and can hit the ground running.

Imagine the outrage if we don't win whilst adding yet another member of the coaching team! "Too many voices" "should've kept Adi" "Why havent we signed Matty James" "Doug is hopeless" "Robins Out" "that Performance director woman needs sacking".

CCFC Bingo!!

what is it, 4 months since he was out the door? tbf to the club they could well have started the recruitment process for a replacement the day they knew he was going.

4 months wouldn't be excessive, especially if the person coming in was with another club and had to serve notice or have an exit negociated.

Will it be someone who could step in if MR is sacked?

Interestingly he was head of coaching and also managed QPR in the Premiership for a bit.

Chris Ramsey leaves Queens Park Rangers after more than nine years at club - BBC Sport

QPR technical director and head of coaching Chris Ramsey leaves the club after a "review of the academy structure".

Glad they’ve sat down and figured out what’s needed behind the scenes to sort this. Originally they put out an ad for an assistant but decided to go with 2 coaches. Now they realise an assistant is needed to Mark to give him support and also to marshal all of our coaches.

Wonder if they’ll get rid of anyone? Maybe just Dempster back to the academy.

Robins
Ramsey
Delaney
Boateng
Carr
Williams
Dempsey

seems a lot

CHRIS RAMSEY MBE is one of the most respected coach educators in this country.

Following a playing career that spanned two decades, the 59-year-old qualified as a coach and went on to work with every England age group from Under-16s to U20s. After that he worked for Tottenham for a decade, becoming their Head of Player Development and first-team coach.

Since 2014, Ramsey has been with QPR, where he is now Technical Director and Head of Coaching. In Episode #33 of the TGG Podcast he told us about his role at the club, his career journey, how he develops staff and why the game has lost a generation of black leaders.

You can listen via the player below and also read an edited transcript after that.

Least they’ve acted.

Could imagine MR really pushing for this type of appointment onto the coaching staff

Seems like just what we need. Happy to see the club act quickly. Assume Mark was frank to Doug on what he needed.

Now about Matty James…

So is it Ramsey, or are people just throwing his name in the hat?

Didn’t the club say that they weren’t going to be appointing an assistant manager when Delaney and Dempster were promoted or have I imagined that?

Hang on earlier he said he wanted a number two as you said regarding Adi. He’s can’t be upset that his promised number two didn’t come but now he’s got one?

Can I be honest if your source is on the money, why doesn’t robins put his foot down. He knows how much the fans back him. If threatened to walk surely Doug would back down or am I being an idiot.

I don't want MR to go.

but I'd expect our well paid and well supported manager to be willing and capable of working with someone that isn't his mate.
