I know that some on here are resentful of the constant references back to that day 30 years ago but for me there has been nothing(birth of children included) to compare with the emotion I felt that day. It was simply the fulfillment of a life's dream to see my team win something.
Today will be spent in warm memories of my late father and I dancing for joy at the final whistle and the wave of emotion than hit me when Killer lifted the trophy. It was simply too much.
On a footnote I remember the Spurs fans staying behind to give our guys a round of applause. You don't see that happen today, the ground just empties at the losers end.

Well said that man.

I remember the tube journey back to Kings Cross. Wasn't sure if I was in for a good kicking, full of Spurs fans but they were very complimentary about out win and I have fond memories of the banter that day.

Never noticed before watching highlights last night that not one player goes over to celebrate with houchen when he scores. That would never happen now.

I think a number of them have been quoted as saying they were all too knackered`

KH, often says he just kept running and running towards the fans . the other players couldn't catch him as pitch was draining on their legs. was a fare distance from the goal to the fans too .

I was behind that goal and me and my mate were jumping up as the ball was being crossed, we were that certain something spectacular was going to take place.

I agree . I was inline with the left hand post. you just knew once Bennett curled it over it was begging to be headed in . superb cross, superb execution. one of Wembley's finest goals .
