You see that's the problem - we had quality last Friday, and 16k didn't come back, we've followed up with another quality win and are now in the top 6. Surely that should've enticed some of that 16k to come again and going forward some extra fans for being in the top 6??
Is having a top 6 team attractive to customers? Moreover, a team that look capable of maintaining that over a season?
27k down to 11k is extremely disappointing, like Otis I'd hoped for 16k.

We're going round in circles.
Feel good factor, 4 page pull outs in the CT on fans excitement on our being home, national coverage, City fans buzzing that we were finally back at the Ricoh and an absolutely massive clamour for tickets for that first game, which again got lots of media coverage.
Of course Saturday's game should have been more than 11,000.
Because they are casual fans who have not been going regularly for years, if ever. People like my old man who had a ST in the 70's and goes to maybe 1-2 games a year and bargain games like Crewe and Gills. He's not going to suddenly turn into a ST holder or weekly attendee. Neither are the people who can't afford it. Price is a massive factor, as was the homecoming. Why can't people grasp that?

Doubt it in the Queen's, but there's a bit of history there tbh, one of my brothers used to work there and it ended in arguments, so it's NOPM to the Queen's! Shame, that was the first pub that I used to get served in.

Yes, perhaps we should have.....how many would have come to the preston game when it went back to full price?
I think we need to stop commenting on games like Crewe and gillingham as "showing the potential" as these fans only come when it's a cheap big tie.

We've been starved of seeing our club for a year. Yes, some fans are hungry to see them again, but of course when you starve something, sometimes...it dies. I'm really not that bothered about them anymore. I wouldn't have believed I'd ever feel so ambivalant about the club, but they fucked off, so that's how I feel! I'm glad that they're back, sure, and I will probably go to some games-but no way can I feel the same as I had done for the previous 40 years, the bond was broken and it will take some serious healing. They've got to win my support back again all over.

Anyway I genuinely think the disorganisation of the ticket office, not a dig at them was to be expected to some degree, probably put off quite a few of those who were considering coming back after the Gillingham game. People aren't going to spend an hour queuing for a regular fixture.
Assuming now that things are running a lot more smoothly for Preston it could give us a better indication of what attendances to expect for the rest of the season.

It was £20 a ticket so think it was a couple of quid cheaper. Unless league tickets were £20 at that time of course.
