Surely Sisued's post was quite obvious in tone.
We don't play till Sunday, one of ours is thinking of joining the brizzl fans, you may smash the 1105 barrier.
I know exactly what Sisu are all about they have totally destroyed my club
After supporting the club for over 50 years (which includes a 200 mile round trip) I do not need you to tell me anything. I have bought a ticket for the match at Northampton. I know exactly what Sisu are all about they have totally destroyed my club and are managing to set us supporters against each other
I've had enough of this. Are you going to Carlisle next week? I am
I have been an emotional wreck for months trying to work out what to do for the best. I'm lost without my Sky Blues
If he loses his job at all over the next 5 years, he's got a damn good case for constructive dismissal. I hope none of the sales team are on commission.
A suggestion for the faithful to sing at Sixfields (to the tune of Yellow Submarine)
In the town where I was born,
Lived a man who failed to see,
And he told us of the lies,
In the land of SISU dreams
So we all went on the run,
Till we found a field of green,
And we called it our new home,
In our wacko SISU dream
We all live in a wacko SISU dream,
etc.
They couldn't care less whether or not we have a competitive team, they couldn't care less where it plays either. What they care about is distressing the finances of the stadium management company and upsetting the existing contracts they have with F & B suppliers and other sponsors etc. They are recklessly prepared now to lose even more money in an attempt to grab that chunk of CV6 for next to nothing, either that of course or they are happy to wait for someone to buy the 'club' from them and reunite it with the Ricoh.its catch 22, no income coming in from lack of supporters so what will they do?? Sell Baker, Murphy and Clarke to cut wage bill. This then basically confirms our relegation. Will they sell at that point, i doubt it sadly....
We should not give any abuse to the few who go to Northampton, we should try and talk to them individually or collectively and explain to them that by supporting SISU they are hurting the team/club.
I would like to believe that most of those going actually want the club back In Coventry, but by going all they are doing is giving fuel to Tim Fisher to pass onto the FL and others.
As supporters wew should stick together, be strong and rather than shout abuse at the few who go, we must try and talk to them to explain the error of there ways.
1,086Isn't our lowest post-war competitive attendance the Millwall FMC match in about 1985 - about 1,500?
Well done, Fisher. The records keep coming.
The disappointing (and worrying) thing is that on the assumption that there will be more sales between now and kick-off the final figure may get close to the 3000 that Timmy / SISU said they expected. This in turn will give them a little more credence and enable them to say "We told you so..." and "Everythings on track..."
I was (perhaps naively) hoping that there would be fewer than 600 "home" supporters but it looks like its likely to be 1000+ and it will increase for the next "home" game
Abuse directed at those who are going - even those on this site who appear to revel in the fact that they are bucking the trend - is pathetic and pointless but the only weapon or bargaining tool left is withdrawal of financial support for those who are actively opposed to SISU and their "plans". Some people will continue to go simply because they cannot bring themselves not to and they will not be dissuaded. There are undoubtedly a few who will wholeheartedly support what SISU are doing. They will not be dissuaded either. There must be a number however who either don't know, don't understand or don't care about what is happening (not every supporter reads the CET or subscribes to a forum) and it is to these people that efforts should be concentrated. Just as an election is determined not by those who are set in their voting ways but by the floating voters so those of us opposed to all of this should get to work on ensuring that any friends / family / work colleagues who are wavering stay away. Give up on those that are going anyway and try to help keep crowds down to 1500 or less.
