Over the past 11 years we’ve had highs and lows, absolute shitters and world beaters (for the league) a quick little challenge I give you build an 11 using 1 player per year but with their ability that year
i.e you pick 2015/16 Joe Cole you dont get peak of his powers England international you get the Joe Cole from the 15/16 season
The team you make has to fit a starting 11 balls in your court SBT

Am I missing something with Burge 2 picks for him. Even now if we’re playing footy and a mate kicks it straight out of play someone will shout LEE BUUUURGE

How about an all nauseating team from the past 11 seasons? One that made you want to stick your head in the oven?

Jordan Ponticelli as captain.

I actually enjoyed having Joe Cole with us, scored that cracker of a free kick. He scored 2 goals and got 6 assists with us and probably was a great player for Maddison to learn off.

I went for the Lampard method - just out score the opposition. Even the corners had be salivating - Hamer whipping it in for Reda and Ostigard

Well it’s either of them or Maddison really. I’d happily have any but went with Maddison because I enjoyed watching him slightly more.

I find the problem is we've had Gyokeres and Wright in that timeframe - who for us were doing it at a miuch higher level, the level we've been playing at and especially our forward play pushes them down. Not that they weren't class.

It was - at the time he was the best finisher I’ve seen for us, probably still is. Was convinced he was going to the very top

When you mentioned him I thought about reconsidering my team. But Gyokeres’ all round ability nudged him ahead for me. Same with Wright.

I’m gutted how his career has panned out. If he weren’t made of glass he’d be as good as Grimes

Remember Stokes being brilliant then the pits. Was it an injury?
Dabo was voted player of the season for our L1 promotion season then destroyed by injuries.

We haven't really had a standout goalkeeper of left back in that time which makes this a bit difficult. My team would be:
Rushworth 2025/26
Van Ewijk 2023/24
Willis 2016/17
Ostigaard 2020/21
McCallum 2019/20
Jones 2017/18
Enobakhare 2018/19
Hamer 2022/23
Rudoni 2024/25
Gyokores 2021/22
Armstrong 2015/16

GK: Burger (17/18)
RB: MVE (25/26)
CB: Ostigard (20/21)
CB: McFadzean (19/20)
LB: Stokes (16/17)
CM: Fleck (15/16)
CM: Hamer (21/22)
RW: Bright (18/19)
CM: Rudoni (24/25)
LW: Wright (23/24)
ST: Gyokeres (22/23)

Much harder than I thought and I've ended with players who I would have but couldn't fit them in Such as McCallum in our league one winning season as McFadz was better.
Then it would be the problem position of the keeper as Burge got the golden glove but was widely panned, Wilson got the golden glove but was my fourth choice for that year behind Gyokeres Hamer and McFadz, Marosi was good in the league one winning team but I needed McFadz in and I would have put McCallum in ahead of him too
