Thats the gap after today;s matches

I think we will need 4 points out of the next 2 away games to keep it on

Win at Orient and it's possible. Lose and the seasons over. Big game

Regardless of the next 2 games, we need 40 points out of the remaining 20 games to get to the magic 74 point mark to stand any chance of play offs.

Not necessarily. Winning the Walsall game is far more important I think.

Maybe. We could lose both and then go on a 10 game winning run. The season usually tails off about now. Let's hope this season is different.

I fancy Walsall making It as Gatecrashers .

Here's a question ,would Leon have asked to go If we had'nt had the deduction,or going further had'nt moved and had the deduction??

Yeah that's my view as well ,no one else has by the looks of It,just thought It was worth considering as both have been referenced by players .

Thinking about It ,Pressley sat the three seniors down pre -season which started that rumour about Baker being for sale,so Its more disappointing that Clarke has changed view.

Realistically then we can't afford to lose more than 4 or 5 games for the rest of the season.

To be fair we've had that kind of run so far this season (lost 6 in 26)

True but we're only averaging 1.69 points per game and we need 2 points per game from here on in to stand a chance.

Yep, likewise it's a marathon not a sprint and 2 good results and getting within 5 points doesn't necessarily mean it's on. We just need to temper expectations a little, we have an outside chance and odds are still against us.

Was interested to read about Pressleys fitness plan being designed to mean we get fitter as the season goes on. We've certainly had a few late comebacks recently. Maybe we will go on a little run as other teams tire? Also we haven't got many sides placed above us to play I don't think.

Not saying we'll do it, but I reckon we've got a prevailing wind.

I think he would. Wolves can pay a bigger wage and thats it for me.

I've just finished reading Fergies book and he said the same thing, tailoring the fitness plans to finish the season strongly.

We can do it, but a long shot, which is why I focus on the 40 points to get to 74, doesn't really matter what anyone else does then, a few will tire, some around us will improve but of we can get to 74 points we're in with a shout. Just need to stop conceding goals..

Yeah, we've only got 7 to play currently above us - wolves, brentford, Peterborough, MK dons, orient, Walsall and Swindon

The question is will their replacements be as good? I think next seasons team will be without L Clarke, Moussa & Murphy.

Yep, missed them 7 then.

Although looking at statto, we're 3rd in the table vs the top half and only 9th vs bottom half teams.

If you look at form tables it is the away matches with good support that is keeping the team in with a hope of top 6, the decision to move to Sixfields is very clearly a major factor in them not achieving it, ranked 20th in 'home' form.
No one can tell me it wouldn't be much much better at the Ricoh.

Code:
 		Pld W D L F A GD GFA GAA PpG Pts Rank
Last 8 Overall	8	3	4	1	17	12	5	2.12	1.50	1.62	13	7
Last 5 Home	5	1	3	1	9	10	-1	1.80	2.00	1.20	6	20
Last 5 Away	5	2	2	1	11	8	3	2.20	1.60	1.60	8	6

I wouldn't solely blame Sixfields, we were also better away from home last season.

Home played 23 won 7 drew 7 lost 9 G 29 GA 27 points 28 PpG 1.2

Away played 23 won 11 drew 4 lost 8 G 37 GA 32 Points 37 PpG 1.6
