Think continuity of manager helps as well.
Can't see Lampard being here as long as Robins but hopefully another good stint to keep the ship steady.
The 2001 to 2012 period in the Championship was just as badIt's partly due to spending so long in L1 & 2. Contracts at that level tend to be for 12 months because it's difficult to budget more than 12 months ahead.
By Championship standards he's already been here a long time!Think continuity of manager helps as well.

Lets hope its not at Wembley....Since 1983/84 (football didn't exist before then in my world) 15 players have played 200 plus games.
Oggy, Borrows, Doyle, Shaw, Peake, Hall, Gynn, McSheff, Regis, McGrath, Telfer, Kilcline, Bennett, Willis and McAllister.
If Eccles features in all matches between now and August he'll make his 200th appearance on the first day of the next PL season.
Bump.Didn’t Robins fuck off to Huddersfield in and around this time of year in 2013?
With that logic packing a team full of Brits will keep you upThat lack of continuity is one of the many concerns I have about getting promoted. It seems that as soon as you get promoted you have to buy shit loads of bang average overseas players, in the hope you get a superstar, and when things get tough they stop trying and you then jump on the manager-go-round.
One more year max I reckon. Either we don’t go up and he goes, or we do and stay up and he gets a better offer or we do and go down and he goes. Unless we do something mental like Europe and even then I’d expect one of the bigger PL clubs to poach him with their extra millions. Aren’t many in the PL with tenures over 2 years
If we did go up and came back down the narrative arond him would be that his level is the championship so I doubt we'd be in danger of losing him.If we go up and come back down I think he'll be our manager for a few more years. We'd owe him another bite at the cherry with parachute payments and no Prem team would risk going for a relegated manager (see Mckenna at Ipswich or Dyche at Burnley)
I don't he'll get there though which is a shame. Not even in the matchday squads now.Allen is only 2 off 200
We should know better by now than to count him out! I bet he’ll surpass it not by much though they’ll be sub appearances most likelyI don't he'll get there though which is a shame. Not even in the matchday squads now.
Not unless the team are home and dry.I don't he'll get there though which is a shame. Not even in the matchday squads now.
There is always a team who changes the blueprint for a promoted team. Brighton, Fulham, Brentford are the obvious recent examples. That lack of continuity is one of the many concerns I have about getting promoted.
