Important to remember 7 home games left vs 6 away, doesn’t sound much but it’s an extra 0.9pts on average this season so far. In the last 5 fixtures there’s good opportunity in terms of playing some sides without anything to play for as well. Our GD is unlikely to get gobbled up too. Loads to be optimistic about.

We didn't show a lot of attacking intent because we didn't need to, we were 2-0 up. We've learnt from having thrown away leads in previous away fixtures by getting caught on the break.

That doesn't explain the first half either. We set up to sit pretty deep and hit a very poor side on the break and with long balls over the top. We're at full strength now and we'll need more than that in future games against better opposition.

At this point in the season I don’t care how we set up as long as we don’t do what we did against Blues/Norwich/QPR/Preston which is give away goals and drop points…

Last couple of games have shown we’ve learnt how to win games in a different way and that’ll do me until the end of the season

The majority wanted that change to be made away from home. It was us being too attacking or gung ho away that lost us several leading positions.

I'm all for us grinding out wins and points on the road. It's an improvement.

We were away from home. A poor side at home in the Championship is still a difficult game.

We're reliant on the defence holding. JDS, just for example and not to pick him out unnecessarily, made 4 or 5 glaring errors 2nd half that might well have been punished on another day, I think how we play matters. We have probably the best mf in the division, now is the time to see what we can do now that the ship has been settled.

If we are sitting deep and playing long balls and hitting teams on the counter to win games, then I’m quite happy with that. Frank will no doubt seek to play a different way when the opponent dictates it.

And then only got 1 point from 2 games, and that was a lucky point at home to the team in 23rd.

We're in the position where we just need to match those below us. 3rd place Millwall are 9 points and 30 goals behind us. That's a lot with just 13 games to go. Ipswich need 4 more wins than us to go past us with 2 games in hand.

We have 10 pts in the last six games. If we project that form we get 20 pts in 12 games putting us on 85 with the final game to play. It could go to the wire and I'd like to be going at 2pts per game really. Onyeka seems to have settled the side but we didn't show a lot of attacking intent yesterday against a poor WBA side. Haji didn't even get scraps!

Managed the game though, which is what we weren’t doing when dropping points.

Could be a widely held view.
Lati introduction has led to better defensive performances. 1 goal conceded last 3 matches.

1 game is v Boro, beat them, and that sends them further away . What a turnaround over 114 hours We could have been back in the pack if results had gone differently, now we are back as we were
Ipswich need 6 points from 13 games if they win their 2 in hand or 0.46 points per game
Before Ipswich away the gap to 3rd was 13 points with 28 games left or 0.46 points per game
So even if we play as bad as we have over the last 3 months, it will virtually be a tie for the title . Thats if Ipswich win their 2 games in hand, and ignoring the fact that they still have to play Boro

We do have Onyeka now and we're absolutely at full strength that's a huge plus. I just think we'll need to see a bit more flair and ambition if we're going to get to 90pts or thereabouts.

We were two goals to the good after half an hour, to me that's pretty much an ideal away day. You play the circumstances on the day, it was a different performance to Monday but both worked

The last two have been huge but look at what went before and it’s obvious anything is possible in this league. We’ll be up when we’re mathematically up. Nothing can be assumed in the championship

Bigger test on Wednesday. shef Utd have turned it around and are looking at a late Playoff push. they are a lot stronger at home and Ohare has been their player of the season so far. Their defence is still shaky though a little like us but scoring a few goals.
would happily take a draw now but if we really have changed our away form with Onyeka coming in there is no reason to not be looking for three points. If we can keep Hamer and Ohare quiet they dont have much creativity after that and we will need to be on it from the start like the boro game. Can see a few goals in this with both defences not great and good going forward

They are pretty erratic. Won 5 and lost 4 of the last 10

I think win midweek and ipswich fail to win , with us having 7 of the last 12 games at home its a long way back for ipswich at that point

Yeah. I think if we win and they lose, it might pretty much all be over. Unless we somehow collapse

Extrapolating the season home and away form and using it to predict the last 13 (7h 6a) games as it is usually by now a reliable trend.

We are forecasted to pick up 26 points which would put us at 91.

Doing the same with:
Boro - 87pts (25pts picked up)
Ipswich - 80pts (26pts picked up)
Hull - 78pts (24pts picked up)
Millwall - 78pts (22pts picked up)

I think this provides a better estimate than total PPG as it takes into account how many home or away games left and a teams record when home or away, 91pts looks more like a winning total than 86pts

Can’t rely on others but if they got 2pts a game from here which is an ask

Boro end up on 88
Milwall on 82
Ipswich on 84
Hull on 80
Wrexham on 77

Were on 65 so we do need more points but 85-88 looks about right for top 2

Looking good but we still have to get the points

With those figures we could go up with 6 wins

People calling out our away form, if we beat Sheffield United we return to the top of that.
Although it's been poor recently, there's only three teams with a better record.
