When I wake up in the mornin', love
And the league table hurts my eyes
And somethin' without warnin', love
City's gap from safety is on my mind

Just 1 win from you
And the world's a-lright with me
Just 1 win from you
And I know it's gonna be

A lovely day
(Lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, lovely day)
(Lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, lovely day)

Lady Madonna, children at your feet
Wonder how you manage to make ends meet
Who finds the money when you pay the rent
Did you think that money was heaven sent

Friday night arrives without a suitcase
Sunday morning creeping like a nun
Monday's child has learned to tie his bootlace
See how they run

City version;

"Oh what a bummer, we only pass to feet
It's no wonder why we always get beat
We've got no money, we cannot pay the rent
Don't you think our money is totally bent

Friday night caller's just the nutcase
Sunday morning go and get the gun
David Bell's not learned to tie his bootlace
See he can't run"

And Ben - Michael Jackson

Ben the two of us need look no more
We both found what we were looking for
With a friend to call my own I'll never be alone
And you my friend will see you've got a friend in me
(you've got a friend in me)

Ben you're always running here and there
(here and there)
You feel you're not wanted anywhere
(anywhere)
If you ever look behind and don't like what you find
There's something you should know you've got a place to go
(you've got a place to go)

I used to say "I and me"
Now it's us now it's we
(I used to say "I is me")
(now it's us now it's we)

Sky Blue version

Ken, all of of us don't give a fook no more
Where's all the players you we were looking for?
Without a friend to call your own you'll always be alone
And you my friend will see you've got no friend in me
(you've got no friend in me)

Ken you're always running here and there
(Portugal)
You feel you're not wanted anywhere
(anywhere)
Don't you ever look behind you won't like what you find
There's something you should know you've got to fookin go
(you've got to fookin go)

I used to say "King and Westie"
Now it's just Juke and The Tree
(I used to say "I is me")
(when you're gone we'll be free)

bloody hell Otis, you have got talent in songwriting. What about you write a really good Christmas song for say Cheryl Cole, thats so good its put on every Christmas compilation album brought out in the future. This is year on year earnings
Can you imagine the royalties you would get, then if you felt generous you would direct these royalties into buying the skyblues.
Yesterday in a thread i think i've solved our relegation problem, and today i've solved our takeover and financial future. I am a genius, so get your pen and paper out Otis and get writing.
