Assuming emc, mve, and Thomas out. Da Silva banned, what we thinking to the lineup?

80+ mins being bashed about, thought we did okay defensively, we just need everyone on their game next week.

Must win.

We think Thomas and MVE will possibly be back.

Would make a huge difference

You can't go into it thinking a draw will be fine.

I think you could be right. It does take some of the pressure off knowing we should be ok to draw. There's Bristol as well if they lose heavily on Monday. It isn't technically in our hands now but only Millwall could catch us if we win and they would need to beat Burnley by 5 plus whatever we win by if we do win.

It will interesting to see if there is any reaction to Latibeudiere's injury. Looked like it was serious before his quick recovery. However when the adrenaline goes and the boot comes off it may be another story. Once upon a time we struggled for left sided centre backs. Now it could be right sided.

I think if we win then Millwall would need to win by 6 as we will have won more games..I think

How many games will DaSilva be out for? Is it a three game ban or two as it wasn't violent conduct. In a way id rather we are going into our last game needing to win otherwise if a draw was all that was needed we might have played too defensive and ended with nothing next week.

That's the same logic we saw a few weeks ago when lots of our fans were predicting us to win at Plymouth and win at Luton

If we win we will finish sixth and possibly fifth if Bristol draw at home. Preston need a point and they are good at parking the bus.

We have to go out and win. Anything less is asking for trouble. Also we are in desperate need to regain some momentum if we are going to be in the play offs.

100% agree. If we enter this game with anything less than a win in mind then we really don't deserve the final play-off spot.

I mean, it's not logic, it's just fact. And no one is suggesting we play for a draw.

At pretty much any point in the season I'd have snapped your hand off to be in this scenario.

One of the best players in home victories over Sunderland & WBA...

Jamie Allen

Do you start him ahead of Sheaf?

But the scenario should have been better. We have lost as much momentum as Sunderland.

You said we only needed a draw. That is bollocks. We need to get what gets us in the play offs and before kick off next week that is a win, rely on other people's results at your peril. When it is in your hands, it means that, you get the results, not other teams for you.

He played 13 mins v WBA which was exactly the time we started to lose control of the game.

I’ll be happy when we’re 1-0 up in the last 10 minutes with both Sheff U and Burnley winning at the same time. Then I’ll be relaxed about conceding an equaliser.

We struggle with low block teams as there’s no space. Teams like Middlesbrough are the style we like, we can keep the ball and break them down. I’d imagine we go back to 4-3-3, with the injuries it’s almost hard to say an 11 as it almost picks themselves. I’d swap Simms for BTA, I feel like we’re lacking direction up front and we’re not sure what to do with it. Let’s see a bit more energy and pace. Middlesborough has a shaky defence and we need to be ready to press and capitalise. Not sure Simms has it in him.

We're not talking about what should have been, we're talking about what happens next week. And a draw might be good enough. So not bollocks, correct?

All joking aside, I really like this mindset. It’s how I would present it to the players. We are in the competition. We need to execute now.

Can't rely on other results going for us.
Burnley will be up for it, but Sheffield Utd will rest players ahead of the playoffs.

Be just our luck to get a draw against Middlesbrough only to see Blacburn get a win at Sheffield and nick that 6th spot.

'might be enough' that isn't good enough we have to go for a win. For it to remain in our hands we have to win. Otherwise we are relying on other teams to get us over the line.

Can't imagine Sheff Utd will be too bothered about beating Blackburn, so fully expect them to finish on 68.
Talk of playing for a draw against Boro is ridiculous, it's a must win.

Based on what? This keeper will just absolutely crumble with the big crowd and pressure of the game.

Can see another Burnley situation coming here
