Hardest year to call in a long time. Most clubs seem to be in pretty decent shape for the season, without absolutely clear stand outs. I'd expect Luton top 3, other than that I really don't know.
People getting way ahead of themselves on us in my opinion, yes we're capable of top 2 we have one of the best squads, but we were so inconsistent and pretty awful in some games last season, particularly at the back which hasn't really been addressed. Love the positivity but play offs would be a very good season and gives us a good chance of going up. Top 2 is a massive ask

weirdly looking at it, i think the league is pretty much in three 3rds, can see the top 8 finishing in any order, the bottom 8 the same, and in reality who cares about the middle!

Most neutrals and indeed the bookies seem to disagree. Its know its in our DNA to expect failure but the reality is this squad should comfortably make top 6 and not doing so would be a failure.

The more fancied we are the more I think we’re not quite auto contenders yet, still not fully convinced by the defence and the goalkeeper is untried.

I'd expect Burnley, Luton, Leeds and Sheffield United to finish above us (though the latter could have a bad season depending on how the reat of the window pans out i think). I then think we are in a fight for 5th or 6th with the likes of Boro and Norwich. I am not as convinced as many that we are genuine contenders for automatic promotion but neither were Ipswich, it should be a good season though, hopefully a really competitive one.

Down at the bottom it looks like Oxford have made some ok signings but surely they'll struggle all the same. Plymouth, Blackburn, Derby and Portsmouth likely to be down there too i reckon, maybe Hull and Stoke as outsiders for the drop.

Like me Murphys, I'm not bitter (one for the older ones).

And I put Pompey where they are as I don't want them relegated - I want my mates to be happy but they need to know their place ;-)

It’s the CC effect, a lot of people rate him as the best manager in the division.
