Really hate to say this but after the comments from Nikki Sinclair (below) after today's meeting i was convinced beforehand like many of us this was all Sisu fault. Nikki a Wimbledon fan who has been through this before is acting as a go between to make the peace and mediate but she is openly saying she has heard only one side of the story meaning Sisu but she would like on behalf of the fans to hear the other side but the council will not meet with her which surprises a me as Sisu are made out to be the people that will not talk or communicate that is why we are apparently in this position:
you would not blame some people reading this to start having doubts about who's fault it really is although personally it does not change my mind about sixfields i will not be there
Nikki quote from today
I’m only getting one side of the story, the council needs to meet with me to put forward their point of view, but they are not happy to meet me and answer my questions. I said there have got to be much more open negotiations. Getting the top parties around a table is the only way this is going to be sorted out.”

and if Nikki Sinclair had the other side of the story what would she do then?

more to the point what could she do then?

answer nothing, the has about as much authority as me grans cat in getting this mess sorted!

if she really wants to hear the other side meet with the SBT

(edit) although i have to admit it's 1-0 to shitsu in the PR stakes, Nikki Sinclair just gave them a penalty for a challenge that was outside of the box, well done you have just joined the shitsu puppet collection.

It has always been blatantly obvious there are two sides protecting their own interests, surely no one actually thought otherwise. They indeed should meet her but now of course you enter another field of play, that of politicians on opposing sides !

I think if i was mediating i would want to hear both sides as SBT have only one side

According to her wiki entry, she is a Liverpool fan - but there is no milege in that in this dispute.

Aren't there in fact four sides:
- sisu
- ACL
- CCc
- Higgs

Lets not forget the reputed £500,000 that the Appleton billed the club for which made him a party to it as well ! and didn't he spin that out to say almost nothing !

Yes but it's only alright for one side to protect its interests according to most on here.

The telegraph said she had a four hour meeting with Joy. What questions and answers took up the other 3hours and 50minutes ?

ACL or CCC will not comment or meet until this JR is done and dusted and out of the way, sisu exercised their right to appeal the first decision so until the appeal is heard there will be no comment from either, I don't think Ann Lucas is allowed to comment. I am certain Nikki Sinclaire knows this so I don't see what she is trying to achieve to be honest.
Nothing stopping Ms Sinclaire meeting the Trust, though, they are the largest independent supporters group and the most vocal.

If the actions to protect a couple of peoples interests affects gthe thousands of fans in an adverse way, whilst the other is trying to protect an asset that belongs to the taxpayers of coventry, then yes it is alright!

As for Ms Sinclaire mediating, when she came on the scene she was on the side of the fans, then she came out with an anti-council pro sisu statement, then low and behold got a meeting with sisu - like the 2 events aren't connected!

Has she released a transcript of the meeting? As we only have the word of an mp ejected from ukip who has set up her own political party! She has evidently nailed her colours to sisu's mast - which in itself is her choice, but she hass come out with a statement condemning acl without even speaking to them! Thus how can she now ever be considered neutral?

Sure she has seen a political opportunity to act as peace broker, but due to her lack of political ability has forever removed the chance she was looking for! She can never be considered as independant arbitrator now !

and that is possibly the only sense in shitsu appealing the JR, it silences ACL/CCC. therefore stops the truth coming out. its a theory anyway.

How well protected are the Coventry tax payer from ACL potentially going into administration owing a debt of up to £14m to the Council?

Six. You forgot the fans - but don't worry, it's a common error.

The OP makes a valid point but the remiss is that no one is going to argue that what got us into the current mess y situation was largely SISU's own doing! I think we can all accept that.

The caveat to that is ACL/Council should indeed make a response to calls for talks with the MEP. If not why not? If the MEP has had a 4 hour discussion with Ms Sepella I think it's only wise that ACL/Council would want an opportunity to meet and find out if there is anything which can be helpful in resolving the present positions of these two parties? Acting as they are in refusing talks is showing them in a bad light and can only result in fans , supporters turning against them too for their indifference too.

Nikki Sinclaire is also a UKIP MEP and would not miss an opportunity to lay blame on a labour council IMHO

She is not UKIP, they threw her out. But I agree, she has some pretty right wing views and would take any opportunity to blame the council for the mess.

Im confused by the title. It suggests sisu have gained or won something.

The only winners in this whole saga are Paul Appleton and the Northampton Town chairman.

Everyone else loses.

Sometime ago Geoffrey Robins suggested that the whole mess should be sorted by an independent mediator all that Nikki Sinclair is i doing from the looks of things is offering herself in that role and trying to get people around the table to talk - Sisu have agreed to meet which is a good sign so why can the council not return the compliment and at least speak with Nikki- one thing Nikki Sinclair seems to have cleared up is if the reports are correct is that Sisu will sell up so time for Mr haskell to step in and make an offer - with the council giving mr Haskell an attractive deal so he can pay Sisu off

The world is seriously fucked if people think that Nikki Sinclaire is an option to mediate in any situation.

She's a self promoting egotist using our situation to get herself into the limelight. She probably used her chat with Joy as a future job interview.

At the end of the day, just how incompetent must you be to get booted out of UKIP?
