Think the club has already replied to someone on Twitter confirming we will be wearing home kit.

Think Leicester will have too much for us, we will start the season slowly I expect with such a drastic change in playing squad. Heart says 1-1, head says a relatively comfortable 3-0.

After reading some of the utter bilge on their forum I want us to smash them inbred wankers out of the park . Tramps the lot of them . 1-1 or 1-3 as long as we don’t lose .

I just hope we don't give them too much respect and only play one up top and have a first half like that against Luton. Perhaps Robins has learned his lesson, as we were a completely different side with two up front.

If Hamer plays, I think our midfield beats theirs. If their full backs are providing their width, I can see us having fun out wide. It's whichever team's new signings turn up for me.

Winks, Ndidi and Dewsbury-Hall is a decent midfield.

They have been playing 4-3-3 out of possession and 3-4-3 in possession (with Pereira moving into CM). They are basically trying to replicate Man City.

Ugh that's a very strong team, if we had a more settled team I'd give us a chance of a draw or nicking something on the counter, but just don't know what to expect with the new lads.

I fear too many players need to get used to each other and it's too early to expect much against arguably the best team in the league, where as for them, a good 7 or so have played week in week out in the league above.

Hoping for a draw but worried it could be a pummeling... that being said, prediction; Cov to win 1-2

My mate is on holiday in Egypt and they are 2 hours ahead of us, and the hotel hes in has live football, so when the game finishes over there, it will still be 11.45 here, so he's going to text me the score, and I'll still have time to put a bet on !!!

Oh come on - Everybody outside of those with a connection to the two North London clubs who were also going for the title wanted them to do it so it’s also possible to acknowledge they won it and got very fortunate along the way

Watching them win it and subsequently play Champions League football whilst we were in the process of being relegated to the basement division was hell and a kick in the bollocks that they were allowed to enter administration, clear their debts and escape any sort of punishment for it, and then go on to have this success when the League looked for any excuse to dock us points once upon a time

Hate em as much as you want, but they won that league and it was hell of an achievement. The were give nothing.
Yes they needed to shit on a lot of local businesses and send some to the wall.
Maybe when they got their billionaire they should have had to pay them debts, but business is full of crooks and doesn’t work that way.
Doubt it will ever be done again, but we can live in hope.

I agree with this. I live in between Hinckley and Lutterworth and all of the Leicester fans around here are unbearable at times. Half of the fuckers only go 1 game a season and then become Leicester's number 1 fan. For me, this is the reason why I dislike Leicester the most over Villa.

Don't see much re: Winks to worry about, the others played in a midfield that got relegated conceding plenty. I'm worried about their attacking threat, but feel like we can score. Sheaf, Hamer and Palmer have enough about them to compete with those three. No Hamer, different story.

I think you know what I mean.
I started in 1962 and it’s always been a dream we could do it. It was remotely possible back in the day, but not now.
Something I will never see.

Hi all,

Leicester fan in relative peace to provide a brief view from the opposition, for anybody who cares.

I would really struggle to make a prediction at this moment in time. So much has changed for us, and yourselves from what I gather, that I think there really are simply too many variables to make any sort of solid prediction. Our manager, style of play, and key players have all changed since we last turned out for a competitive fixture in May and it's anybody's guess as to how those brought in, both managerial and playing wise, will get on. On paper we have a fantastic squad for this level, but 'on paper' we shouldn't have finished 18th last season; so that really doesn't mean a great deal.

The only prediction I'd hasten to go for would be for us to dominate possession and MR looking to hit us on the counter. I could realistically envisage anything from a comfortable 3-0 victory where it all falls into place, or a 2-0 defeat where we really come back down to earth with a bang.

We've passed on our injury curse of the past couple of years to Coady, who seemingly is injured for the first time in his career after not playing a single competitive game for us. Winks seems like a solid signing at this level, and Mavidi will hopefully add some flair. The new goalkeeper could be an Allison/Edderson style revelation, or a Claudio Bravo nightmare - time will tell. We're certainly lacking massively in the creative department going into Sunday, having lost the majority of our assists and goals in Maddison, Tielemans, and Barnes. Though I expect that will be resolved prior to the end of the window.

It'll be really interesting to see how both teams fare across the first few months and beyond, and I would also expect at least 7/8 changes across the 22 that line up on Sunday to those that line up for the reverse fixture.

As for rivalries - I would personally have you below Forest but above Derby; I think it very much depends on what part of the county you grew up in. I didn't really know any Cov fans growing up, but now live in Warwickshire so have a few friends of the sky blue persuasion.

One thing I would note is that I do find the mud slinging about the state of both places to be particularly amusing, given the state of both cities. Both have improved over the past few years, but I think it's fair to say a better government could invest greater in both.

Anyway, I'd be more than happy to see your lot promoted, provided we finish above you and also return to the 'promised land'. The midlands has been off the football map for far to long, 2016 and FA Cup win aside (had to get that in somewhere). Though, after the past couple of years of inflated prices, dodgy dealings, super league, Saudi money and all that comes with it - I am sort of hoping that this year reminds me exactly why I fell in love with the sport.

Daka, Vardy, Iheanacho up front is probably the best front line in the league.

Apparently all bad Vardy want out, they're saying they look like they don't want to be there.

They've also been playing Doyle at LB, their Guardiola Lite wants him to do that LB/CM hybrid role. Him, Faes and Vestigard or whatever his name is gettable. They also think they don't have a the profile of player to play that death by possession football that the manager will want to deploy. They certainly haven't had the squad overhaul that Burnley had last season.

Proof will be in the pudding I guess.
