Best half for a long time. Hamer phenomenal. Back 3 solid. And Liam Kelly is a real credit. First start of the season but you wouldn't think so.

Most bizarre performance is kelly whose match fit it seems and playing like he did 2 years ago

Gyokeres looks like he’s on acid.

Godden took the goal well but the back on forth is a bit pointless - he’s painfully slow and can’t hold the ball at all but can finish chances

I wouldn't look into gyok not celebrating , worked very hard and had a largely excellent half , but he's probably frustrated with his missed chances

Great first half performance, a lot of players having great games. Godden justifying his selection with an exceptional finish.

If Gyokeres had his shooting boots on we’d be talking about this as one of his best ever 45 minutes for us. He’s been brilliant at everything aside from finishing, although that is unfortunately his job.

Hamer and Kelly both playing very well, and a good return to the starting line-up for Panzo too.

Decent half, only poor finishing is holding us back, should be 3 or 4 nil up. Great finish by Godden, just a shame he is so poor in his general play.

Hamer have been phenomenal, Viks been brilliant up to his finishing. Kelly doing really well, and we look so much better with Dabo right wing back. But everyone is doing well so very much a team performance.

Hamer best player on the pitch. Slightly concerned we have not made it 2 or 3. A few missed passes. We seem like we need to relax, and it will come. Worried about Readings counter with Faz missing. Dabo looks unfit. Esbrand not used enough. Norton-Cuffy would add impetus. Goal post away from 2-0 and game over. As it is the job is not done yet. Hope MR's shows them the table in the dressing room!
