This will be one of our toughest games QPR are one of those teams who lose games they are favourites to win and then the opposite we need to be on it from the off but we can win this.

They’re no Watford or Blackburn tho, are they? I’ll still take a shitty 1-0 without feeling guilty. Hahaha

Team like QPR on bad form is a worry TBH, stats say both of us are likely to return to form, and our home form hasn’t been great.

0-2 loss followed by four weeks of bedwetting.

Doesn’t really matter what they do to be honest, if we’re on form we can turn over anyone in this division. If we aren’t we’ll get punished. Just focus on our own performance.

We just about had the legendary “Shitty 1-0 of someone’s arse” last game until Vic fucked it up.

I’m placing an imaginary bet on the amount of times the words ‘Eccles’ and ‘sh*t’ are used in conjunction in the match thread this week. 65 times, I think. Poor lad, he’s doing his best.

3-2 win, Vik 94th minute screamer. PUSB ⚽️

Eccles is more than holding his own against some tough opponents. Sure he’s been caught out of position a couple of times and I noticed he looked a little lost and unsure who to mark on one Wigan corner but ffs let’s encourage him while he grows and learns. He’ll be an asset.

baffling really. He has a right back or RWB on the bench who last season was ahead of dabo in the pecking order. Last night was crying out for kane balls in to the box. Obviously I’m not in the know as it makes no sense

He clearly upset somebody in the summer. If he hadn't picked up an injury he would not be here. Shame because he can do a job whilst Dabo recovers.

I noticed that his scoreboard picture is from last season still. Didn’t expect him to be here?

Wouldn’t be dropping Palmer for this one. He and COH weren’t at their best midweek playing against a parked bus. But against a team that will presumably attack us this game should be right up their street. Also thought Eccles was fine. Unchanged for me.

Exactly this Palmers ability to quickly put accurate balls through was vital to breaking against Watford.

We played well against QPR both games last season but got nothing, hopefully with our newfound defensive solidity we'll make it third time lucky.

I thought both games against them last year were as high a quality game as I've watched in the Championship. Expecting the same tomorrow. Willock, Chair and Johansen are all excellent players. The lad Taylor Richards they signed from Brighton is also a very decent player.

Tough, Tough game this one. QPR's away record isn't great, but they will be well up for it after losing 2 at home on the spin. They will certainly look to attack us, which might work in our favour, but will also be a big test for our defence e.g Wilson, Eccles and Doyle (if Rose doesn't make it)
3-2 City.

They're 16th in the last 6 form table, we're 2nd.
Although he's committed to the club can't help thinking the speculation around Beale has affected them.

Agreed, but I am sure Jamie Allen was rested against Wigan with this game in mind. Also, he doesn't deserve to lose his place after his excellent performances against Watford and Blackburn. I think Allen will come in for one of Palmer & O'Hare.

I caught that staff bit.

Long guess: Dennis Lawrence to Wigan as asst Manager or something (he coached there for years)

Scary thought: Ady as Mgr?

No intel no rumour just worried that one day Ady is going to manage somewhere - to me he’s the Taylor to Robins Clough. We’d be lost without.

I know JCS became Maldini after he left, but hopefully we’ve just watched the game v Luton last year and told Vik to bully him in the exact same way Luton’s bang average striker did.

2-0, Gyokeres, Hamer.

Will be leaving in the next half hour for the 200 mile trip to the ground. Looking forward to this weekend. 4-1 win, packed stadium, good weather and a few beers. Bring it on.
